oddkaos
First off, i noticed a lot of useless items in the game.. such as tongs calipers and other metal items.. and i thought.. what could we do to give these items a reason for existing.. i was playing a noob thief character (no cheats :D ) and i was angry that I didn’t have enough lock picks with me for uh.. borrowing some items from a local store :D .... i began searching the boxes, saw some tongs and thought.. well that’s a small metal object.. i bet you could make some sort of MAKESHIFT LOCKPICK out of it.. seeing as i have no idea how to mod and probably don't have enough patience for it, I’m looking for some help. Ok.. now to my guild ideas.. i was thinking.. if your a thief or assassin in oblivion you gain infamy.. Now i thought how can we make a "good" faction for thieves or assassins? For thieves i thought of Agents! They could be information gatherers for the imperial legion! Or maybe to obtain a valuable object that was stolen from a "client". Example of the beginning of an Agent quest: Imperial Agent Commander {insert cool sounding name here} wants you to retrieve an Ayleid Artifact stolen from the mages guild {preferably (name) of the mages guild instead of saying for the mages guild} You have to remain undetected through-out the entire mission for a bonus (kind of like the dark brotherhood). Guild join prerequisite: high fame, helpful to citizens.. i really have no idea.. I’m going to need help on this. ---------------------- That's obviously not going to be the actual dialogue when you get the mission for the Agent Commander. I'm going to be really hung up on how "real" the dialogue sounds, i don’t want any spelling errors or any of that nonsense.. that brings me to voice acting, i don’t really care for it, but if we can get a really good voice actor for the new npcs that will definitely be a plus. ---------------------- Assassins.. this is a tough aspect to make this.. a "good" guild or faction.. But, i thought of maybe.. Imperial Enforcers (still deciding on it) they could be assassins that eliminate thieves, bandits and other criminals, that are nucinces to the Imperial Legion, i know what your thinking, but no they will not target the thieves guild, most people believe that the thieves guild is a myth, how ever, they may target non-essential thieves guild members to keep it realistic.. maybe this certain person got caught and escaped but they all ready have his description and might have been tipped off by a friend or family member (that didn't know about his/her criminal life and frowns upon it) about said thieves guild members location. Targeting bandits could be like.. maybe this band of bandits strikes in one area along a road? Which would suggest that they have a camp or hideout somewhere near by, you may have to find clues to find their hideout or camp a long the road or ask maybe a near by innkeeper about any suspicious behavior around the area.. guild join prerequisite: i really have no idea.. ---------------------- Evil fighters guild type thing.. I was thinking maybe knights for an evil daedra lord.. This faction will like the dark brotherhood.. Guild join prerequisite: high murder count ---------------------- Evil mages guild.. maybe team up with the conjurers or necromancers.. I’m leaning more towards conjurers because i don’t want the quest lines to collide too much, and from what i've seen all the necromancer guild mod attempts have failed.. i haven’t put much thought into this because i haven't even decided the faction name or anything yet :P Guild join prerequisite: no idea... ------------------------ Again I’m going to need people with knowledge of scripting and texture peoples to make this mod work.. feel free to email me at [email protected]name the subject mod idea or something so i know its not junk mail, you can reply here but i probably wont look here often.. if its more convenient for you can AIM me at Blindxfoldedx ... -Thx for reading PS: Please, please, please, do not use any of my ideas without asking for my permission first.. and when i say ask my permission i dont mean just ask, i say no and use my ideas anyway.. if i do say yes, be sure to give me credit for it. Siojo
I really like the ideas behind the good guilds, I love the idea of an Agent that was hired by the Empire to search for things, like a Nirn P.I. (Claymore P.I.?). The Enforcers also sound really sweet, like a freelance assassin/bounty hunting group like the Morag Tong in Morrowind (Wolf the Bounty Hunter?). If you need any help with story writing feel free to contact me, I really want to help someone with a mod but my abilities in CS are kinda lacking.... Natsu666
The only problem I have with this is the Agents part. They wouldn't assassinate thieves, but they could counter-assassinate assassins. The good thieves could steal back and forth between them and bad thieves like a tug-o-war game of sorts but killing isn't very realistic. And for killing members of the thieves guild, while im still on this matter, this could get you kicked out of the guild if you choose to pick both paths as a more freelance thief character. I like the idea but the realism in the things I mentioned would break the mod for me, and I'm a big fan of mods correlating with the original game. Edit: If you did go with Conjurers (I hope you do) then this would;d be groundbreaking! No one has really done that before to my knowledge
Slawter500
If your to kill members of the thieves guild(im getting this from last post haven't read it yet sorry) then it would be better to make them copies of existing thieves guild characters and remove the faction to avoid conflicts or as said above being kicked out of thieves guild

That is not what The Agents are, they enforce the law, right wrongs, and return property to their fightful owners, they are not theives, they do not steal from innocent houses, they are not burgulars or bandits.. "They wouldn't assassinate thieves, but they could counter-assassinate assassins." counter assassinate assassins? what do you mean? I think you kind of mixed 2 of my ideas into one :PQuote from my original post: "They could be information gatherers for the imperial legion! Or maybe to obtain a valuable object that was stolen from a "client"." I think you got that from the Emperial Enforcers.. The Emperial Enforcers do not kill innocents either.. they seek to eradicate all murder and theiving crimes silently..
