Steven917
Not to disturb your RP, but is it just me, or almost all of the RPs inactive as of now?

Zephyr2011
Zephyr walked back to the cave and returned fairly quickly with a pair of binoculars from the plane and his crowbar. "I'm off to go investigate those boar." Zephyr said. off: Exactly, there are so few good rps that appeal to more than a small group of people (ie: this one appeals mainly to people who like survival scenarios and zombies, no offense Anton) so most of the rp community has moved elsewhere. I would start a few new rps but the problem is since I can only be on every two weeks or so I wouldn't be able to GM efficiently if they do pick up pace and then the rp would die without a GM and we're back where we started. I have brainstormed some decent ideas for rps if anyone who can be more active than I would be interested.

The Vault was so successful because there were no Fallout roleplays before. The only way we can respawn this section is to make a "perfect rp". Its just like starting a business. You need alot of money, in role playing you need a lot of active players.
floggingmolly22
Opening a can of peaches with his knife, Flogging ate a slice and held the can up. "Anyone want one? I managed to snag them from a grocery outlet before we left..." off: The only problem with that is, a lot of us have school or work or something else that means we can't get the the Nexus as often as we'd like... So even with a lot of active players, no one could become too important. Cause if the main guy leaves for a bit, then the other players lose interest and stop checking in... Though I'm curious.... what kinds of RP's might we be thinking of?
Zephyr2011
off: I've noticed that there's been a slight resurgence in fallout rps (fallout: promised land etc.) and the zombie rp has (no offense to anyone here) has become slightly stale. I've also noticed a few people signing up for long dead rps that had oblivion-like settings or backgrounds so perhaps an oblivion rp might be good or something along the lines of the one of the greatest rps the sight has ever known "Order of the Dragon" DragonAge origins has created a flurry of activity and a modding sight for it has already been launched (pretty quick considering when it was released to when the site went up) so perhaps the magic and medieval scene might be our best bet or maybe a new fallout rp. I've also thought about an rp set in modern times but with magic might be a perfect marriage of the old rps and the new, heck the very premise of it being something fairly new to the nexus would likely draw some rpers. I remember when people who were GMs or die-hards on the rp forums had links to the various rp threads they were a part of and I think that would help rebuild interest, I'm on the debate forums a lot and poke my head in just about everywhere from time to time and I'm sure the rest of us do the same so if we had that going it might resurrect the rp forums. But on the basis that people often can only be on from time to time I suggest perhaps a "group GMed" rp. That is an rp with 2-5 people (depending upon size of the rp and the pace) who all have equal power moderate the rp in the hopes that whenever something that occurs that requires a GMs input there will be a gm to give that input. All of the GMs would hopefully communicate enough so that there would be no disputes between them. and no disrupt in gameplay just a thought. At first i wasn't in the RP at all. Plus we need to create the world we want in that roleplay first. Then we create the problem, then we plan events. Zephyr2011
off: Well the whole job the GM is to create situations for the players to overcome anything beyond that is up to really personal preference (meaning that I don't consider the person who started the rp the GM unless they create situations etc.) I believe GMs also should control all npcs and the environment in general. back to the actual creation of a new rp which of my ideas did you like best (if any)? I'm going to have to leave soon but I'll try to get back to you asap.
