bben46
CM companions are based on - as Tchos said - cutthroat mods by Blackie, a mod that enables the CM partners. Without the base mod, they will not work properly. To use any CM companion you will need the basic mod first. It comes as either a standard mod or in OMOD format just use one and not both. yanazake
Hm, does the basic CM mod allows in-game creation of companions? I want something to make a custom character to help me, custom in appearance, at least. Recomendations?
LFact
Hm, does the basic CM mod allows in-game creation of companions? I want something to make a custom character to help me, custom in appearance, at least. Recomendations? No. You cannot create companion NPC(other than cloned actor) in-game. If you want to make a companion NPC, you need to use Construction Set. If you want to create a companion NPC in-game, you can use console command 'CreateFullActorCopy'. However, the copied actor has no attached script or AI, so to make copied actor a companion, you need to use CSR or Mad Companionship Spells. Also Tibixi's Unique Companions allows you to make a companion via using 'CreateFullActorCopy'.
yanazake
Hm, ok, thanks for that. That means it would be better to get a finished companion mod and try to edit the character in there via the Construction Set... I'll try editing that Neeshka, or whatever was her name. Seemed to be one of the best companion mods around.
