Fixing that damn face

I have all my mods working, including Exnems eye candy (underwear version). I have my graphics turned to the highest. I spend a good hour or two working on my characters shape and tone.

 

But no matter what I do, their face looks BLOTCHY. There's always these bluegreen blotches on the face. That 'veiny' look. Please tell me someone knows what i'm talking about and can explain to me how everyone gets their screenshotted characters looking so flawless and even toned.

Install either Improved Facial Texture or Natural Faces, then install any face texture over it.

 

**Many screenshots are photoshopped, or placing character under 'suitable' lighting condition.

There is such a thing as "blank .egt file", as someone calls it, that removes functionality of most tone sliders except for skin tone and makes faces smoother, removes blue discoloration things and so on, in addition to better textures, of course. Only available for some heads. Is that what you're talking about?

You should do all the above suggestions (not the photoshop, if you have the right mods than photoshoping is unnecessary) another great way to make your character look great is to get a good looking custom race. some races are just remakes of stock races. if you want to play a female human I strongly recommend http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25524

Search the Races, classes and birthsigns category and organize them by endorsements/Descending and you'll get some great races that do not have the problems you are having.
