Greeny170
So I recently downloaded Fallout 3 again to replay through this awesome game, but the game just won't start. It gets to the launcher but as soon as i click play, nothing happens. I tried tools to disable gfwl but they need a Fallout.ini file and because the game hasn't been launched yet I don't have one.I've tried to run in Vista SP1 compatibility mode but that doesn't work either.Any help would be appreciated. Agatana
I just reloaded GoTY edition, including the dlc disk on my new upgraded PC. It's not tip top of the line, but it runs Skyrim great. I started the game after installing disk 1 and the game started fine . Closed out and installed disk 2. The game won't start and this error message appears, The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll. which I presume is for Games for Windows Live, which I never intend to use. And the game won't start now. Any ideas? Thanks. Edited April 21, 2014 by Agatana
BlackRampage
The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll. which I presume is for Games for Windows Live Correct. You'll have to update GFWL. Link: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient Next, try starting Fallout 3. Of course, nobody still actually uses GFWL, so you can disable it via this utility: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/1086//? (starting the game through FOSE will also disable GFWL) Edit: The above was also listed in the guide M48A5 linked by the way...
