Male only armour on females?

I, like many players, use a female character, but am overly picky about armour. No slutty stuff for me, pure Knight armour.

 

There is an armour I have fallen in love with:

But it says it is a males only armour. Does this mean it will not change its appearance on females, or does it mean it simply will not WORK on females?

 

My computer is down so I cannot delve personally and see.

 

In short, if I get this, and try to make a female character wear it, will it show up on her?

 

I have tried repeated times to get ahold of the maker, but he doesn't respond, otherwise I would just ask someone to make a female fit version.

I'm pretty sure you can, in fact, wear the armor. But it would still be the male version.

you cannot.if its set for male only in the CS it will not show up on a female character.it would need to be rerigged to fit the female body as those things on a womans chest are much different than a mans chest,also the hips come into play

Rerigged? Well to look right on a female character perhaps, but for just showing up for both genders you just need something like this in the CS. Apparently if female is not specified, the game defaults to showing the male armor. This is a male article of clothing in my game and my female character looks strange because she ends up with a female head and a male body when equipping this outfit.

You guys are right, but I'm talking about that specific mod (Leras). It does work, but it's the male version.

 

Doesn't look bad, but it depends on your sense of aesthetics.

So what you're saying is, if I use this armour, it will show up on my character, but it will look the males version?

 

This will be great. Hell, Steel armour Male or female looks the same any ways. As for "those things on womens chest" coming to play? Ruthala is size A, I don't think She'll mind.
