Jonty95
I've encountered a strange situation that, when I encounter the cultists after the quest "Way of the Voice", there is no journal update after killing them. Nothing to tell me to search the cultists when I kill them and not when I read the cultist orders that are on one of the cultists. They walk up to me, talk to me, but the dialogue does not end automatically when they finish their last line to initiate battle. It just hangs with the dialogue ption box there after the cultist says their last line while their partner proceeds to attack me, so I have to back out of the dialogue manually. Whether or not that is related I don't know, but what is happening is that the "Dragonborn" quest does not start upon reading the orders. I've tried console commands such as setstage , but nothng happens there either. No journal update, nothing. After doing setstage DLC2MQ01 10 to bypass it, I don't get any journal entry updates related to the quest "Dragonborn". Even after doing all that businesses with setstage, doing "sqs DLC2MQ01" still has every stage set to 0 despite me typing "setstage DLC2MQ01 10" beforehand . DLC2WE09, which from what I've found involves the cultists vs player encounter, has every stage on 0 even when I have killed them and read the orders also. I've tried searching the forums for similar situations and haven't had much luck. I have no idea what could be causing the quest to not trigger at all despite killing the cultists and reading the orders after the Way of The Voice. Obviously the cultists appear as they should do, but nothing after that like I've said. I don't know why my efforts to bypass it via console aren't working either, although I could just be doing something wrong there. It could be a mod, but I've tried removing potentially problematic mods as well unless I've missed something there as well. I'm hoping with the bypass that it was just me doing something wrong. I just can't give up on this profile. I've put so much time and effort into it already that it seems a damn shame to not be able to progress with the DLC. vlaka
Are you the right level for the quest to trigger?Have you BOSS'd your mods? Load order doesn't look like it has been.Have you also cleaned the mods as per BOSS' suggestions? You're using a pretty outdated mod which may have corrupted/broken your save/game. Marts debloatifier is ancient and hasn't seen an update in yonks. Read through the comments section of the mod.
myztikrice
Your unofficial patches are not in the correct place.

Marts debloatifier is ancient and hasn't seen an update in yonks. Read through the comments section of the mod. I'm level 29. I'm fairly certain that is high enough. I'm not sure if Requiem changes it by default though. I have BOSSed my mods and pasted the userlist that it suggested for the unofficial patches. All my mods have been cleaned as per the instructions, except Guard Dialogue Overhaul which says it should not be. With regards to Marts debloatifier, I've had it for a while and have managed to trigger the Dragonborn quest fine in the past with it. Although that now it is outdated I've now removed it and tried again. After all of the above, the Dragonborn quest still refuses to trigger. I hope something hasn't gone seriously wrong, but like I've said, back in the past I've managed to start the quest fine even with Marts Debloatifier activated unless it has decided to break my game now. So yeah, I've BOSSed my mods, updated the unofficial patches and put them in the right places using the userlist BOSS said. Still nothing when I kill the cultists. vlaka
I'd try starting a new game (using something like Live another Life or Skyrim Unbound for the sake of quick start), level up via console to get the cultists to spawn and see if that works. Might just be something in that save that's busted :(
Jonty95
I hate it when you spend dozens of hours on a profile working hard, just for something to come along and mess up progression. Even more strange that console commands don't work. It's what I usually do (use console commands) if I encounter a broken quest. Anyway, I've got rid of Mart's Debloatifier and started a new game. I'm going to try and work on this profile now. Hopefully the new game will mean things will run better where mods are concerned, assuming I don't change anything. I just hope to god that it works now, even with a new game. I'll still keep my other profile around just in case a solution might appear.
vlaka
I know how you feel. Hopefully things get sorted for you :)The last time I actually got invested in my character was 2 years ago O_oSince then mods have come and gone, CK was released, took long breaks off Skyrim, came across game breaking bugs thanks to stupid mods which broke more than they improved YET i still haven't finished Skyrim haha O_o ATM i'm just messing around with 'essential' mods and seeing how things run, so far so good...hoping to start my proper playthrough soon lol unless my mods call for more updates and new games to be started >.<
