With what do you run oblivion? How well does that work?

Heya!

So today I got to experience Oblivion with dual core and maxed out graphics, pretty much I got a new computer.

My current rig info is:

Core 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86 GHz

2GB RAM

ATI Radeon 4670 512MB

All maxed out

and I noticed how my FPS was very steady with a vanilla oblivion with messed up textures (I need to reinstall.. My world map was the ground texture some why :P)

Before I had the same but with a P4 instead for a Core 2, I had about 20-30FPS (all maxed except for AA x2) average with a ton of mods but no real FPS-taking mods except for natural environments.

So I am just wondering, with what are you running Oblivion? And how well is it working?

I got 1 medium and an oldy.

Laptop:

Intel Dual Core 4200 2.2Ghz

2GB of RAM

Intel GMA 4500MHD. No idea how much mb...(Can't run fallout3! Worst bargain choice I ever made!)

Cool, 20-30 fps Not on max, and HDR is not possible.

Oldy

Core 1 CPU 3,5 Ghz

2GB RAM

ATI Radeon 2600 XT 256 'MB

20-25. Not all on max, it doesn't like shadows, but the CPU is the problem..I can't replace it. the HDR looks fine with 2AA

I tried streamline too...it doesn't really help in my advantage :)..It helps, but just gives me a +4 on the FPS with a high degrade of the quality...So I turned it off. I just need to start saving money and get a new pc. ;D

But I guess it will for the newest cards :)..

I gots a decent PC i think

2008 Dell Inspiron 518 or somesuch

Dual Core both are 3.5 GHz

2.5gb of ram

Nvidia Geforce 8800GT

32-bit

I'm running at around 30 FPS with Max Graphics, Quarls Texture pack, Natural Env. and 16x anti-aliasing

But I do use some kind of performance increaser, i forget what its called, steamline or something, i suggest u get it.

For me it's

AMD Sempron Processor 3300+ (yes it's not dual-core or anything)

1 GB DDR2 330Hs (If I remember correctly)

ATI Radeon 9800 XT (It has 2.0 Shader)

Otherwise maxed expect textures are medium and there is no shadows.

Usually something around 30 FPS and fluent play but if there are many objects on same time at screen it might drop to 12 FPS.

An oldy but a godly ;)

AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ overclocked to 3.19GHz

4GB DDR2 800 @ 910 Mhz

and a XFX 7950GT

runs 40FPS outdoors with QTP3 Redimized and perfect indoors @ 1280x1024, max view distance (distant land, cities, trees), no grass(ugly), no self shadows(just looks weird...), max water, and etc. :D with Bloom, 4xAA, and 8xAS, and 126 active mods lol.

I pretty much have Oblivion optimized to the max to run on this graphics card. I was rather surprised that I got no performance hit after installing QTP3.

TC, my rig was almost identical to your old one:

ATI 4650

Pentium 4 @ 3.2Ghz

1GB Ram

Vista 32bit

I get 20-40 fps on high, 1600x1200 no AA, It usually drops to around 20-25 or so in interiors, around 25 fps avg in towns and 30-40 in the wilderness.

I plan to upgrade my CPU to an e5200 in hopes to improve and stabilise my FPS.

Oh and decreases the resolution/ settings barely helps... That's how bottlenecked I am by my CPU

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 2.33 GHz (Dual Core)

4GB ram

Nvidia Geforce 9600GT

Vista 32-bit

All maxed out, Alot of graphic enhancing mod's, Great FPS.

I know nothing about this stuff,

But i got something called "sandra",

And it tells me everything about my comp.
