NCC-1701 USS Enterprise Deck by Deck - WIP

That is unbelievably impressive.

As for the turbo-lifts, I have a suggestion.

You could make the turbo-lift exterior a load door in the CS, which links to an interior

cell which is the turbo-lift interior. You could make the textures animate on it, so it

would have the lights passing by, and lock the door for a scripted period of time.

Then after what you would say is the proper amount of time you would unlock the

doors and stop the animation. The 'select deck' button would have to be scripted

to set variables so you could visit the right deck, which would also control how

long the animation and door locking would last, but each could easily be linked

to the correct corresponding deck doors.

Then you'd only need a few turbo-lift interior cells, one for each turbo-lift 'tube'.

I don't know whether you'd know how to do the animating texture already or not as

clearly skilled as you are, but, regardless, here's a link that may help: Animation Tutorial

Truly amazing work. Kudos to you.

This is a WIP that I would dearly love to see finished. Your name will be forever honoured at Star Fleet Academy for this grand "enterprise"!! I await the finished mod with grand anticipation. Can I give kudos for a WIP?

Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. The build has been on hold for a while due to the intrusion of life.. lol. Right now, I'm preparing to begin again with the work and move forward on detail bits. The rough stage of the model has been completed. The high poly model is now exported and backed up. The low poly model is still in need of much work - all the door frames are in; but, the recessed spaces for the doors still need cut in. The shuttlebay and engineering are also in need of fixups.

Polycount: 579,477

..The polycount has now been cut more than in half even with additions to the geometry in terms of making

floor and ceilings seperate pieces and adding some beginnings of structural support beams.

Decks 14 dorsal and decks 15-24 in the secondary hull are now complete for the cleanup pass.

The Shuttlebay has been cut free and stands alone.

Engineering is it's own section now.

And the primary hull decks 7-11 are all now complete.

Deck 6 is in progress being sliced up, cut down and cleaned further.

The build continues.

I'm so glad to see that you're still working on this, Mr. Havoc. It's been so long I'd kind of forgotten all about this project. The screenshots are looking very good. I'll definitely take a copy when it becomes available and vote it "Mod of the Year".

Thank you rabbit. It's a big project and slow moving at the moment; but, it's getting nearer to completion and these shots

really pleased the daylights out of me. ;)
