Well Jahile buddy, I think you may just have to Reinstall... I've never heard of any problems like these without it being fixed by messing with the options. Sorry

malonn
Get Fast Exit 2. That'll take care of the exiting problem.

Cold101
Well if you want oblivion with out mods, go into your oblivion folder, and delete EVERYTHING, if you used steam and "Uninstalled" it that way, the files are still there.
bben46
Do not delete everything in the Oblivion folder as that will cause you to not be able to reinstall. (I don't know about the steam install - it may be different)Oblivion places entries in the Windows registry. One of these is to check to see if the game is already installed. By deleting the Oblivion files without using the uninstall on the disk you leave that entry in the registry. Then on attempting to reinstall, you will get an error and the install will terminate because it thinks Oblivion is already installed. Instead, use the uninstall on the disk. That removes the entries from the Registry as well as the game. It does leave any mods in your data folder and the saved games behind though. for a complete uninstall and reinstall see this Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 If you have already deleted everything and cannot install, try this: ccleaner http://majorgeeks.com/download4191.html This will remove orphan entries from your registry (entries with no program associated) Be sure to reboot before running the cleaner, and again after to finish the registry clean up.
