bben46
OBMM is not the only way to set load order, but it is the easiest way.BOSS sets load order, but does not recognize every mod - it places any unrecognized mods at the end and recommends using OBMM to set them manually.Wrye Bash also has a way to set load order, but it is a little more difficult to work with. OMODs are OPTIONAL, not required for using OBMM. it will set the load order of any installed mod in the data folder. Whether it was installed as an OMOD or not. Quick question how do you set load order with boss?
bben46
You don't set the load order, it does. You get no choices. It sets the load order based on a list that is included with the download. The list is updated every so often. It is not a mod and does not install like a mod. It is a separate program that works outside of the game. Just extract BOSS into your data folder, find the BOSS.bat and click on it - it runs and sets your load order. Then, use OBMM to make any manual changes needed. Be sure to follow the instructions and make a backup of your existing load order first. You don't say if you are using OBSE or not, or if you have the latest patch or not. Some of your mods require OBSE or The latest patch to work. I recommend disabling All of deadly reflex for troubleshooting. When everything else works, then you can put it back. Quick problems - I hope you didn't type this list in - here is the easy wayHow to post a Load order list article http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=295 Only one of these should be activated at a timeCompass-Disable_POIs.espCompass-Disable_Both.espCompass-Disable_QuestMarkers.esp Only one of these should be activated at a timeMidas Eldrich Power 4x.espMidas Eldrich Power 5x.espMidas Eldrich Power 6x.esp Not familiar with this but I think only one should be enabled at a timedragonslayer2-daedricish.espdragonslayer2-harderhits.espdragonslayer2-hardesthits.esp AgainDeadly Reflex 5 - Timed Block and 250% damage.espDeadly Reflex 5 - Timed Block with no damage or durability changes.espDeadly Reflex 5 - Timed block and 150% damage.esp There are probably more problems, lets clean these up and see what happens.Note, its not a good idea to install a bunch of mods at once. The time you think you will save will be more than taken up in troubleshooting - do one at a time and test before trying another.

nosisab
Ok ThanksSome mods do not only overlaps files as physically overwrite former ones. So You must be aware when it happens and the "install" order is meaningful too. The first installed mod will lose files and so, even removing the newer mod that first is still compromised and must be reinstalled. Those mods OBMM reports in black have 'at least' the own ESPs overwriting and such is really grave. The correct procedure in this case is removing completely the former mod before installing the newer. Yet even in that case it may be the expected behavior, for example if the intention is patching that former ESP. As you see, being careful and trying to learn what the mod is meant to do, reading it's documentation and all these recommendation from praxis, never is too much. wollam11
"Does not matter if the mod was installed by hand or OBMM, all and every ESP/ESM will show up at the left window and MUST be ticked to work. The advantage OBMM offer in this case is being ease to change the order those ESPs/ESMs will be loaded." What's the problem if a mod's .esp isn't showing up in the left panel of OBMM?I installed Tamriel's Travelers using BAIN and it shows up in Wrye Bash, but none of the .esp's are visible in OBMM.
