Future Predator
hello there. can anybody give me a link to a full tutorial for modelling using anything BUT blender, :fakenopic: likely NIFskope, cos im making two mods which both require some snazzy modelling. Please teach me somehow! Here, youtube or anywhere else - i just wanna know how to model please. Thanx if you reply :thanks:
thePhilanthropy
I take it you just don't like blender? Me neither. But you can try Gmax. It's basically a free lightweight 3ds max clone. There should be plenty of tutorials on the web.
mcole254
If you have acess to 3DS Max use that but the reason most people use blender is because its free and has all the tools to make and export your model. (I personally don't know how to use it and likely will never learn I like Cinema 4D better and 3DS) Also Nifscope is not a modeling program, the most you would be able to do is change texture (paths) and copy and paste from other armors/ items
LHammonds
can anybody give me a link to a full tutorial for modelling using anything BUT blenderResources for 3D Modeling likely NIFskope, cos im making two mods which both require some snazzy modelling. As previously mentioned, NifSkope is more of a NIF Editor, not a modeling program. NifSkope cannot "create" models from nothing...but it certainly is a necessary tool for those that do create models. LHammonds
Future Predator
Thanks guys, your posts helped alot. Yes, I dont use blender because I simply don't like it - it cant do enough detail for modelling. Plus the reason I dont use 3ds max either is maybe because the price is 3 and a half thousand US dollars... Its an insanely high price for a 3d editing program. I shall try Gmax - :thanks: for all the help :D
LHammonds
it cant do enough detail for modelling.I don't understand that particular statement but if GMax works for you, that would be great. Blender model showing great detail. I have GMax uploaded here at TESNexus with install dox. LHammonds
