Ok here are some screen shots of the NIF file and textures in the proper folder and the armor in the CS:

And I did (and do) what you said Vagrant about using the bones of vanilla Nifs.

Try re-name the texture path in nifscope IE: "C:/programfiles/games/oblivion/texture/blabla/yourtexture.dds" to "texture/blabla/yourtexture.dds"

doing so will turn the model white in nifscope but will show correctly ingame.

Also try removing any numbers and symbols in the texture names

the Armor turning invisible ingame is cuz it cant find the normal map or/and the texture it also might even crash the game, all my crashes with armors have always been something very mirror mistake..

you can upload a SS of your export settings in MAX(3ds) as well.

That is how my texture paths are and there are no numbers or symbols in them.

oh that one is easy, Im guessing you imported your armor from a .3ds file, by doing so you lost all your smothing groups,.

What you do is go to edit mesh/poly and choose select faces and select all of the faces(polys) of your armor and in the drop-down list to your right you have to find a button with the word "Auto Smooth" ( should be a bunch of numbers above it , almost looks like a calculator), again select all faces and hit the auto smooth button right next to it is a number box it should say 45 as default, if all faces does not turn smooth - try raising that number and select all faces again and hit auto smooth, raising it too much will make your mesh look stupid, so play around with it, 45 usually fixes most cases.

What did you do to fix your armor? might be useful for others in the future.

Thanks for the tip I'll try this when I have some more time.

As far as the fix I'm not sure what exactly I did that fixed it but I know my Nif file was bad because I couln't import it into any program. The parameters I changed though on the export from Max was flaten hierachy (checked) and I changed the priority of the transformations from 0.0 to 0.1

I'll post how it turns out after I apply the smooth function.
