Low frame rate with QARL textures 3.0

hi there really really low framerates, unplayable it was much better before installing the qarl textures, dough the problem could be not because of the textures but the animated windows mod, not sure, pc is athlon 64 single core 2,4 ghz 1 gig ram, 8800gt, xp pro sp3, running before at 1024x768 at aa set 8x override with HDR and full detail at 25-30 fps, now at 800x600 low detail no aa and bloom 1 fps ?! how to make it work.

patches are : shivering isles, unofficial oblivion and shivering isles patch, animated windows and a few minor ones

QTP3 original is a killer, unless your VRAM is more than 512MB(I think 1GB is okay). Redimized(or reduced) is okay for 512MB. Also, you will need more RAM(2GB is okay).

yeek, that's one heck of a bottleneck. Godly graphics card with ancient single core CPU hehe :) :P Running on a single core is a bit of a killer for Oblivion, especially if you are using mods that require OBSE. More scripts, more work for the CPU. I do suggest more RAM other than 2GB...4GB is more of a standard these days. Oblivion uses about 1.5GB while playing, Windows XP uses about 400MB if you don't have any background processes running, so that leaves you with very little left and if you run out, the paging file starts getting used, which in turn drags down performance because that's from your HDD.

Your load order is a little messy too...Deadly Reflex should be loaded at the end of the list (says in the readme, no matter even if another mod says to load at the very end, load DR at the end always) . Here's how it should lay out

you wouldn't believe what fixing up your load order can do lol.

Have you done all the .ini tweaks? Those are suggested for anyone's system.

Other than that, I can't recommend much other than an upgrade to a dual core CPU and DDR2 memory :)

May I suggest using parallaxed texture sets as opposed to Qarl's hi-res ones? Less stress on the system.

You need a rather high machine to run Qarl's comfortably.

The system and vid card tweaks will work for all games, and many other non game programs as well.
