Ice Blade of Monarch is the sword I always used. One of the best rings I found in the game ws in the Sheogarad region on an island in an Ancestral Tomb. It's been awhile since I've found it, it's called the Ring of Manarra I believe. I can't even remember the stats, something like 50% resist magicka and hp regen. I've started a new game, I'll try to find it and post more accurate info.

Modification Idea: Once you find all of these beloved artifacts, maybe you could make a mod of a book that lists the items and their general locations. That would be incredibly useful to many people. Have the book be difficult to find though.

That book is called "Tamriellic Lore," and is in the Corprusarium, near Bagarn. It does not list the general locations of the artifacts, but rather focuses on, as the name indicates, the lore surrounding the items. As I recall, it does, however, give a hint as to where a few items may be.

I found a ring yesterday with 30% constant fire, frost and shockresistance.

Some old crypt had it near Gnisis.

if you don't like 2-handed swords, then may i recommend a great 1-handed sword, goldbrand. it is probably the easiest weapon to get in the game (except for the dagger at the very beginning), but it does take some time. you can get it by doing one of the daedric shrine quests, but i don't remember which one. all i remember is i think it starts northwest of gnaar mok, underwater (someone else'll probably remember the name since i can't).

Not really artifact status acording the the in game books and the mournhold musem but i find the Necromancers Amulet that Trebonius (Mages Guild - Vivic)has to be extreamly usefull.

Of course Trueflame and Hopesfire are a given, GoldBrand/EltonBrand are also nice

(I gave GoldBrand/Umbras Sword to the musem for TrueFlame cause i dident wana wander around looking for artifacts at the time)

 

GoldBrand can be aquired by doing a deadric quest, the shrine is underwater near some daedric ruins near gaar mok or hal oad cant remember witch.

Spoiler; The gold brand quest involes some running around and having to wait aproximatly 60 days for a scupture to finish a new statue, to start the quest go the the daedric ruins nw of gaar mok and dive into the the waters looking for a sunker daedric ruin, activate the shaterd statues head to start the quest, bewary of dreughs if your doing this quest at a really low level water breathing potions may come in handy aswell.

LOL, I was way off :D Still, it's one sweet ring.

 

That Necro Amulet is great to use as well, I''l have to check out that Bearclaw though, I haven't done that quest.
