Tracking and Scripts have RUINED this site!

I can't go 5 seconds without having to click something in my Ghostery or NoScript, and that's IF the download decides to work. I refuse to put my system in jeopordy by turning these off just so I can be forced to look at your bulls*** ads and have my information tracked. Never have I seen so many trackers or scripts at ANY website. It's ridiculous. I feel sorry for anyone who uploads their Mods here. The people that run this site only care about making money off of your hard work through tracking and selling our information and flooding us with ads. I don't want to hear, "They have to make money somehow to keep this running." It's obviously gone far beyond that. It's a shame that greed has to ruin everything. This place used to be legit.

We are in a world of your information is for sale.

I'm sure you either own an Android or iPhone as the majority of English speakers do, so you are giving away your information every day with everything you do.

You use Google services? again your information is going from your youtube preferences, to your search history to your email content and beyond. To expect that a site with bandwidth demands such as this one must also contribute to the tracking tools that advertisers demand.

 

There are lots of solutions you can use to minimize this or you can seek mods elsewhere.

 

I personally use multiple browsers and minimize my interaction with all things google so as no single entity gets even half a picture and I don't use iOS or Android connected to a SIM.

No I don't own a Smartphone or Android device and no I don't use Google/Youtube. Any other irrelevant assumptions? I don't plan on using this site anymore. I just wanted to inform everyone that didn't know. You can defend this s#*! all you want but the fact that it's normal practice doesn't make it right.

Lets see, external scripts used on this site (check the code if you so wish):

 

• Top (728x90) ad
• Side (300x250) ad
• Google Analytics (only I have access to it)

That's all. I used to use Extreme Tracking as well but some nut cases went bat-s#*! crazy about it, so it's now gone and I keep all the tracking within Analytics.

 

If you have a problem with the ads then you have two choices:

 

• Spend £1.29 and remove all the ads on the Nexus for life
• Don't use the site

 

It's that simple really.

 

Coming here and moaning about your phobias isn't going to do anything.
