Yeah i understand didnt read ur post before mine

but i was reported an hour ago and nothings happend so far

and regardless im gonna start seeing trying to get some people tho help start this from scratch it may of taken them 5 years to make Morrowind but that also includes making the Construction set making the textures and lots more but we have a Construction set we can landscape we seem to hav e people that are doing a bett job then bethesda and texturing tho i am not dissing them without them this wouldnt of being possible

So you're making a new Morrowind from scratch? Well, that's legal, but already done. Just look up the Morrowind Solstheim Vvardenfel project.

i cant seem to find Morrowind Solstheim Vvardenfel project link?

i still wanna make it myself (with lots of help) because over the years i imagin morrowind would have changed maby vos was attacked and fallen?

KAz, you reallyu need to keep your requests relalistic. New laand mods are hugely unlikely, for every one that succeeds countless others never make it off the ground, and it's already been done. No one wants to make a huge effort to make a cheap imitator.

Anyway, link's here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16976

It may be long it may be hard but why not?

i mean why not even lend a little hand

people arnt to heartless

Kaz, it's not heppening. Trust me, I'm trying to spare you the wasted effort.

And people ARE heartless. They won't waste valuable hours of their lives doing a massive amount of their effort to make something that nets them nothing in return except the dubious distinction of having made a cheap knockoff of the original Morroiwnd-in-Oblivion mod.

You will totally need a freaking huge team for that ... or as someone or several persons told it will take a looong loong time ; so long it's not rentable . In this time a (good) modeler could work for a company (game company most likely) and obtain some profit. Also , there aren't many that like to create something that already exists from scratch.

Also , it would be easier to create an esp for Morrowind Solstheim Vvardenfel mod to fit it to your needs. It will take less.

Just expressing my opinion here ; I'm not trying to stop you from creating what you purpose or anything else

A noble and ambitious project. I am not going to say it is impossible as I have seen several impossible mods already.

The reason Morroblivion was banned by Bethesda is it ported actual meshes, textures and other parts from Morrowind.

Beth does not like to admit it, but some of those parts are not owned by Beth, they were leased from other companies. The terms of their use was that these parts would only be used in the one game and not for anything else. So, as long as you do not directly port ANYTHING from Morrowind it is legal.

What that means is you will have to recreate every mesh, every texture and everything else that is not already included in Oblivion from scratch. Yes it is possible, but very time consuming. And you may have to defend your own work from accusations of direct porting if it is too close to the original in appearance. In other words, don't think you can get away with taking a Morrowind mesh, changing a few nodes and putting a slightly different colored texture on it. That won't fly. Each mesh must be made from the beginning without using anything from the Morrowind mesh Lots of tedious work! But when they compare the meshes side by side, it should be obvious they are not the same.

As it has already been noted, several attempts have been made. They each floundered in the sheer massiveness of the undertaking. If you could get the permission of one of the other failed or stalled projects it would be a long head start on yours.

Morrowblivion did not do it this way, they actually used the Morrowind stuff directly (ported). That is what Bethesda objected to.

You not only cannot port from any other Bethesda game, but from almost any other game (there are a few that do allow porting, but not many.)

Good luck on getting Bethesda's blessing on this, and good luck on your mod.
