So I can determine which mod is which.Why?Because there are certain mods I use that uses jumble/messy names that its hard to determine what kind of mod it is. Georgiegril Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 You could simply open up the data folder in your computer, right click on the file, choose rename, and rename it.However, doing so would mean that the mod would no longer be recognized by BOSS, mods looking for that specific file as a dependency would not know it was there, etc. So I would not recommend doing that. I've modded Skyrim manually from 2012, before deciding to try NMM and Mod Organizer. There's a lot more problems doing it manually than with a proper installer.
