afterfield
Hey, I got oblivion a few week's ago and I was told about the modding of the game by a friend. So I got a bunch of mods and they all have seemed to work fine, except when i started making my own I came across a small problem. I understand what to do and I've just real a couple tutorials on the Wiki or w.e it was and I've been doing the Room building one where you replaced the crosier In cellar with another room. But when I go to test my mod, I save it as Test1.esp and i go to check the box in the data files. Turn or oblivion and start playing. And when i go to test it NOTHING has changed. I have read the saving thing this particular person has written about 50 times and i have done everything EXACTLY the same as him/her. But it still wont show up. Have i forgotten to do something ? or is there a issue i don't know about, witch is pretty likely :S. Thanks if you can help :D :thanks:
Pronam
Could you elaborate a bit of how you've done it. Like did you install the latest patch of oblivion. (#1 cause of missing objects concerning own made mods) and you did only use oblivion.esm and didn't tick any other mods in CS?
nosisab
Do Pronam's recommendation but above all make sure you tick active your mod in the load order (use OBMM or the own list on the original launcher but tick it). Although it not seems to be the case you may have the (in)famous Vista's excessive "Program Files" security syndrome. If you use Vista and installed the game at C:\Program Files (x86)... it is
afterfield
@Pronam I have the basic version of oblivion. No patches as they don't seem to install themselves(Has an issue when I go to install the update). And yes I have checked if i have/have not ticked the oblivion.esm and made sure that was the only one. Still the problem is there. @Nosisab I'm actually using XP..... :D So I don't think that would be the problem. @Both of youse xD Thanks for those tips anyway even though they havent helped me so far D:
Rhiana
What version of oblivion are you running? (this shows in lower left when you load the game) What version of the construction set are you using?
jatneosen
It's a simple problem, your CS is of a higher version than oblivion. Either degrade your CS by downloading an earlier version, or get the official patch or SI. Someone should make a sticky about this or something, everyone seems to have this problem, lol.
