JimboUK
Locate the daorigins.exe in the bin_ship folder. Right click and select create shortcut. Right click the newly created shortcut and select properties. Under the shortcut tab you'll find a target field, add -enabledeveloperconsole to the end of that line being sure to leave a space after the " It should look like this....http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/6752/consolej.jpg The path will depend on where you installed the game. Mine seems to work without this bit but in case it doesn't.... Open the file \BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\KeyBindings.ini in your My Documents folder. Find the line that says OpenConsole_0 and change the value after the equals sign (=) to Keyboard::Button_Tilde. To open the console after running the game, press the ~ button in the top left corner of your keyboard. (thanks Floydian) Now run the game from your new shortcut. To use the console press either ~ or ` depending on your keyboard layout, I found it was the same key used for Fallout/Oblivion/Morrowind. For some strange reason the console is invisible but it does work, you'll know it's open because you won't be able to control your character. To close it again press enter. Arxa
Do I need to have the patch installed? Because this method REFUSES to work for me.When I add -enabledevelopconsole and APPLY it, I get an error message; it tells methe specified folder is invalid. i.e there ain't no such animal as 'C:Program Files\Dragon Age :wallbash:

JimboUK
Any useful commands yet? All I've found is cheats and stuff that'll break the game.
VictoriaG
Cool cheats? Godmode? There has to be a freecam command in there somewhere.
JimboUK
http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console Nothing here, I've been searching everywhere for a camera one. I can't figure out how this was taken without the character getting in the way, a lack of sleep might mean I'm missing the obvious though. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/imageshare/i...-1258408281.jpg
VictoriaG
The author has run their character into the wall and bounced the camera off that, you notice when you get right up close to the wall the character will fade out and practically disappear depending on the camera angle. Note that adding this line to the shortcut created when you install which links to dalauncher.exe WILL NOT WORK. Also note that you will not be able to see the console, but you can tell that it is open because keys you normally can use as shortcuts to commands will no longer work (C for Character Record, etc).
