pepperhall
Alot of peeps are using as the 5th the dog as he isnt required to have alot of interaction with & hes straightforward. If he levels u have to target him & hit C to level him. Thats easy for him. However when using others u cannot access hotbar. So spells cannot be chosen or inventory items dragged to hot bar. Another bad bug Ive run into twice. Leaving camp I selected my 3 peeps & leave camp. Choose my destination & on way there get ambushed. I show up alone. Now at this time just to make myself clear I do not have any extra party members just the ones Ive chosen on the way out of camp. They are not there. So I try & enter them via console & their portraits do show up but they dont. You click on their portraits & they are in never never land? I think Ive left camp like 4 times now w/o my party members showing up next to me & that includes no potraits. So I add them via console & their portraits show up & usually they show up next to me with no problems. Then I add my doggie. So it seems that once u use the addparty command at any time during the game you can break it & have to fix it. :wallbash: In otherwords use at ur own risk definately applies to this console command. Jhared
Basically for this to work you need to do a lot of things. I doubt very much that it is just editing a single line from 3 to 9. The interface itself needs a revamp as there simply is not room for that many more party members. You also need to add more slots whenever you choose your party members at that screen. Having done that I am certain that some missions or quests have some limit on party members too - example when you are forced to have a certain member with you. So no, this is per definition not as simple as adding a pair of boobs on Morrigan then call it a day.

Acleacius
Anyone have an idea how this can be done, was great fun in NWN2 having all the team members in your party to get a fuller story and banter. Thanks for any tips. :)
namwons
personally, i think a 5th member would be overpowered. two mages running double weapon buffs and two hastes (hope they fix the stack rules soon) with two bards running both songs with bears with the MC having all those buffs...OP imo. even in nightmare, i can leave my triple AW group (passive healing spec from cleansing aura on wynne, death magic on all, and swarm on morigan) on auto focus fire as i watch from stealth on my 100% cunning bard bot. would be cooler if there were quests where u had to use two groups to complete the quest, like in Final Fantasy 3. I'm on like my 5th playthough and I'm still getting new dialogue Options from trying new party setups.
Florimel
The big reason people want this is so we don't miss all the cool Party Banter. I'm on like my 5th playthough and I'm still getting new dialogue Options from trying new party setups. I agree completely. I play RPGs mostly for the character development, interaction, and storytelling. The action is a welcome addition, but secondary, and there are plenty of games that provide difficult battling for those who want them. There are not too many real RPG's anymore. I would love to be able to spend less time switching party members so I can have the immersion I look for.
Acleacius
Yes, it has nothing to do with getting OP, you can already have all 10 or so in your party at once. The point is story, humor and interaction.
psychochef80
one of the main reasons that keeps being given against this mod is that the gui doest allow you to control the additional characters since they dont have a portrait to click on but this got me thinking http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=359 admit idly its an extreme example but it seems to suggest it is possible to convince the game that all 4 characters are rangers and there for should have one controllable pet each (I know it works for at least one but i plan to test that part since the portits in the video seem to disappear when he clicks on the next ranger to summon) it also demonstrates that those "pets" can be basically any type of game character. There is also an additional mod that makes it so summons dont disappear when switching zones, so my question is could the mini pet portraits be relinked to correspond to the existing party member with his current gear and skills instead of a preset clone providing at least one if not 4 additional members? One other suggestion i had if that isnt viable would be to look into using the character selector placed on the right side of the screen for the morphes in the fade and to summon allies in the final battle. if the tool set allows you to use it perhaps it could be repurposed slightly to select them.
