Hidden Helmets

Yes please!

Why are all the mage helmet cowl things so hideous?

Maybe also a hat that shows some hair? Cause I've noticed that when I put anything on, now matter what my hair is it just disappears, and that's kind weird when you have a hat that should end before your hair (when it's long)

Maybe someone could just change them all to circlets?

I love to be able to hide those ridiculous looking mage hats, they look so silly I don't bother with them.

Edit: http://social.bioware.com/project/791/ problem solved, thanks to Luchaire for finding it.

I actually came to this forum for the specific purpose of starting a request for a mod that hide hats. As things are right now, I go without helms on both my character and Alistair, since he's my eye candy.

Because there are definitely invisible helmets.

Realism in RPG's is sweet thing except for when it takes away from a players enjoyment of that game. I dont use a helm on my character for the simple reason that the cutscenes break the immersion showing my character with her helm removed when it should be on.

This also a mod request thread and you should take the flames elsewhere, they really are not called for. If you do not like the OP's request simply do not make or use the mod there is no reason to flame anyone for it.

That's pretty close. But yeah I would like a true "hide helmets and head gear" addon or official toggle.

Thanks much tho for pointing that one out.

I get what you mean, but there are plenty more "unrealistic" mods......

I think it's safe to say if we were approaching RPG's with unrestrained realism we wouldnt have NW2, DA, or any RPG for that matter.

i love this idea, i too really dislike the appearance of leather hats, particularly the lower level ones, my noob rogue toon hardly looks threatening with a dead squirrel taped to his head.

Well, of course we want to see decent, fashionable headgear (especially the mages) - but I can also see Aria C's point. Why don't they show the headgear in the cutscenes? Because you would not see the faces, and because if you really take the role of the characters: What would it be like to talk to someone with a heavy helmet on your head? Would he be pleased to see you fully armed but not your face? Wouldn't it drain your strength to wear your full gear all day?

So, why do your companions still wear their full armor even on the campsite? Can you realy find some sleep in a massive armor?

On a broader aproach: Would you not be identified much more easily in a City, if you wear full armor while everyone else wears no armor and over the half of the population in the city is even running around without weapons?

Yes, thankyou for sharing, this is a nice tool. I also agree that a true 'hide helm' option would be better.

Hide Helm has become standard in most games these days.. it's a bit odd Bioware left this optiom out.
