CPU Usage

Retribution

It's not only the CPU, your graphics card plays a role here too, the most resources it can manage smaller the load on the CPU side, it's specially true with PhysX/havoc capable cards (depends on the games).

Yes this seems to be a power hungry game CPU wise. Much like Neverwinter nights 2 not very optimised, the more characters on the screen the more power it uses (even if they are stationary NPCs).

But a good dual core is good enough. If I set my CPU to 1 core the frame rate drops from 60fps (guessing its limited) to about 20-30fps. I do wish developers would spend more time optimising the code, I mean what has changed from NWN1? And they could then use the power to do something better, like AI that dosn't suck.

I think its another bug i run at about 50% tho at times my frame rate gets horrible :-S

i have a quad core 2.2 phenom with 2 1 gig video cards and 8 gig of memory, i hope they get a good patch out soon, seeing as how i blew through crysis in a day with maximum settings dragon age shouldnt have have such problems

Well not sure about two graph card solving anything in this game...

I ve got ATI 4870X2 2GB DDR5

However the setup of the game shows only one GPU with only 1G of memory

How come it doesnt support the other half of the card ?

Hmm some technical update of the game will come handy.....
