alex2avs
I'm no expert in the subject of cel-shading but I'd think it would be more solid colors and almost all definition coming from the black "ink" sketching. So most of the pattern details would be converted to black with the background erased and replaced with a solid color. I also think it would be an interesting effect to leave the normal maps alone to retain some definition while the diffuse texture gets the make-over. My 2 cents (feel free to ignore...and somewhat encouraged to ignore) ;) LHammonds  I think the first part are a bit over my kowledge ^_^. I also planned to keep the original normal maps . Well , tomorrow it's friday , so i'll probably upload the mod as well. I'll do most of the armors , keeping the method that i used above , and separate items , probably in a new shop in IC. Alex ValentineCOuld you release them as a modders resource? 'Cause I'd Love to use an Elven set that looked like that for my Painted World mod. LHammonds
It should be a modders resource. :confused:No, it is work that he put into the texture...even if it is a modification of the original, the mod author has every right to ask that their work not be re-distributed, or ask&use or use as you please (modders resource). alex2avs
The textures are done for several armors , however creating new objects take lots of time if full-retexture.Now , I'll release what i've done as modder resource. And as a modder , you'll have to change the texture path and add the object in the CS Editor. <<<Link will be inserted here>>> http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28314

alex2avs
Well , it's a modder resource , and as i mentioned in the readme you'll need to add the objects in game via the CS Editor.Don't forget to set the right path to the texture in the nif files too. jaysus
that armor isnt cell shaded, you actually can not fake a cell shader with a texture, you truly need a shader to do that cell shading basicly adds black lines around the outer shape and shapegiving lines of the object you view (and simplifies the colors sometimes), these lines depend on the point of view from which you look at the object and thus are not fixed like a diffuse texture is but are dynamic the closest you could get without writing a new shader effect for oblivion would be to use a black enchantment effect, t'would not look like a real cell shader though...
