Zadestar
I'm just seeing if anyone has as much time to spend as I do. I have over 1 million dollars, all gotten through Creeper, I even sold the King's Cuirass to him. I am at approximately 595 days, and i'm only lvl 49, is anyone else have that much money without any cheats, or other special ways? You know, only by the old fashioned way, I also have 2 sets glass, 3 sets ebony, 1 set stalhrim, 1 full nord(not sure of name).
Peregrine
Why even bother at that point? I mean, since you're cheating anyway, why not just use the console to give yourself the gold and save some time? And don't say it isn't cheating, you're exploiting a loophole in the game and acting completely out of character in a role-playing game. At least giving yourself the money by console and playing as a wealthy character would make more sense.
Dilvish
I've had some characters that had around a million gold when they retired. I generally use a house mod that has lots of display space for those characters. My last character like that was Kan'ild Nammu. His collection included one of every type of hammer and axe in the game. He had one set of every good light and medium armor in Vvardenfell. I was using Curry's colored armor mod in that game. Kan'ild had three full sets of glass armor with red, yellow, and black glass. There are different player styles in RPGs. Some gather wealth and collect items. Exploiting the game mechanics to do this is not seen as cheating. It's seen as power gaming. Role playing is not the only fun or legitimate thing to do in RPGs. Zadestar
Just to tell you, I play on xbox, so I can't use mods, I went by 5k increments, all the way to 1000k so no cheating there, just getting mad rich, hahaha.
Malchik
It is possible to become ridiculously wealthy very quickly, especially if you visit Mournhold early on and sell all the DB armour from the regenerating DB band. My only question would be why bother? You want genuine role play then stick to these simple rules. Any cash left lying on the ground or in sacks/chests/ crates etc. would be stolen the moment you put it down, even in a locked chest in a locked house. (These thieve's guild types are very cheeky!) In other words the only cash you have is what you are carrying. Everytime you sleep thieves will rob you of a randomly generated proportion of what you are carrying (0-100). You can apply the same to randomly being knocked unconscious and robbed when walking around too. Once per annum you are taxed extortionately say 60% on the value of all items you claim as yours. If nothing else being permanently broke because of taxation will give you a good idea of what real life will be like when you are old enough to work! Mercbird
Funny how my characters have become 'Simple-Lifers' , I the the one with all the books another with all the clothes and so on but I tend to forget where I put what, so in the end I play with whatever I have on me despite having a house full of stuff. At best I have a temp place in whatever guild I'm questing for...Now I'm playing a bard that only uses what she picks up from enemies , and apart from potions , it works pretty well. Any colectables goes to the museum :D
KzinistZerg
Huh. Well, one character who I was using to see how much money i could accumulate with gained about 10 million gold. after my curiosity ran out, i deleted her.
Chooba
I admit i am a bit of a power player. I do try to stop... but i love shiny things waay to much to give up all that gold... actually i think ill start my character Kaell all over again as he was too rich. too well equiped but not that strong. I think il be fair this time.
4donathi3l
The first time I played, my Kajiit Monk was poor. It kinda made sense, too - an 'ex-slave' and a monk isn't likely to be carrying around infinite gold coins, so I didn't mind it. But I think the first mod I installed was 'Zed' the wealthy Dunmer merchant, so you could sell your 70,000G Glass whatever for a decent price - I thought it made sense to have someone who you could sell expensive items to for decent prices. But he just got out-of-hand. You pay him 1000G, get 100% respect, and then you sell all your leftover glass, ebony and other expensive things and sit there for half-an-hour holding down the 'increase sell amount' button. MW definitely has a loophole when it comes to large amounts of money. So I kept him in this time round, but he'll be a last resort, and I'll try to annoy him as much as possible, so I don't get stupidly large bartering bonuses... Captain 333
The way I get my money up is to go to caves and loot it. I also go to the ocean and explore ships and stuff.
