Settings for new monitor

Hi All

I have just bought a BenQ RL2455HM monitor which on the whole I have been very pleased. Unfortunately now when I play Skyrim all the lighting appears way too bright, load screen smoke is messed up and I have blocky light contrast in night sky. I am using CoT night level 2 and it is now like vanilla game.

I'm guessing possibly some settings require changing as my old LG e2240s seemed better despite lower specs. Can someone tell me if this is the monitor compatibility with Skyrim or how I might fix this within the settings? I hope I haven't made a terrible choice on monitor...

HI,

You may need to do a "monitor calibration", (press start and type that in the search ) it could just be the Gamma is off. As gamma is the first thing you calibrate in that program..

IN Game...open the {ESC} menu and go to display....Most ENB's and light mods expect the slider to be centered...you may have had to up it for your last monitor...
