Okay. So as of last night, Nifskope (v1.0.21) decided to stop saving files apparently?

I can see all files Ive created and saved IN Nifskope IN their directory, however I can't see them in Windows Explorer or GECK.... what the heck?

sounds weird. never heard this one.

how do you know the files are there if explorer won't display them?

what do you mean- nifskope stopped saving?

try edit a vanilla nif and just save it in the data folder

reinstalled nifskope?

move them to a different different location?

check they aren't hidden of protected files or some mess?

is it vista? hah

reinstall windows/restore/ghostimage?

Hehe, cheers for the checks. Well it's Vista, and I know the images are there as they appear in the open files browser for Nifskope, but they wont appear in the windows explorer.

It's ruddy confusing, like it's saving them as some secret hidden file that I can't see. Thing is, it worked the other night, but just stopped working on the random. I was copying branch data across from my static mesh to an ecvwarroom kitpiece, and it all transferred and worked accordingly.

I then edited the file in max, textured etc, exported as a .nif, copied over the nitristrips data again, save and then first noticed it when I went into GECK to locate the 3d file for the item. It couldnt find anything, so I looked in Windows Vista Explorer, and sure enough, the file wasnt there. I repeated it and renamed the file 3 times, and sure enough, they all appeared as openable files in the Open window of Nifskope, but absolutely nothing anywhere else.
