bumsore
So, today I was playing with my game save in the toolset and wanted to see if I can skip the Raw Fade ( I dislike this part of the game so much) A thought came to me after looking at my game save with my toolset. What if I delete any and all trace of the sloth demon from the tower, would that stop the Raw Fade trigger? And to my surprise it did work. First, simply save your game at the Templar's Quarter once you reach it at the Tower. Exit the game entirely and open up your save with the Dragon Age toolset. Now that you have the save open, click on SAVEGAME_AREALIST and a list should expand downwards Since the Templar's Quarter is the last place you loaded into you would want to click on the last option/number under SAVEGAME_AREALIST Make sure it says "cir230ar_tower_level_4" on the TAG line. To delete the Sloth demon expand SAVEGAME_AREA_CREATURES and delete number 17-19. This will delete any sloth demons/abomination in the area and will not trigger the Raw Fade once you open the door to the circular room. Be sure to loot the body for the litany and enjoy the rest of the tower.
Flobulon
I'd be interested to see what effect (if any) this has on the rest of the game. Good work though, I hated that section, and may use this in my next playthrough.
w00teh
Agreed that entire Fade episode made the Circle of Magi an incredible bore for me....on the other hand you skip an hr or so worth of playing
Retribution
Doesn't work for me. Whenever I right click on one of the numbers, 17, 18, or 19, and choose delete, all it does is expand the previous number.
Ozisl
Um, if you skip the Fade zone, don't you miss the bonuses to attributes that you pick up inside it? May not be an issue if you use god items etc, but they help a lot on more difficult modes.
Retribution
Use a mod to get the attributes up by 4 each. That's the average of what you get them up by, or something around that, I believe.
Aria C
Use a mod to get the attributes up by 4 each. That's the average of what you get them up by, or something around that, I believe. You do not need a mod for that. You can add them yourself by going into the toolset and cliking file then open mydocuments\bioware\dragonage\characters\"your characters name folder"\ "your current slot"\ "somethimg or something.das" that will open up your character save sheet where you can add in the stat points that you miss out on by skipping the raw fade scene. to edit your charaters stats go to where it says SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR expand that and you will see SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR expand that and you will see SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATSexpand that then drop down to SAVEGAME_STATLIST 0-6 are your stats in order as they appear on character sheet str. dex. will. magic. cunning and con. SAVEGAME_STATPROPERT_BASE is what you edit on each stat. when you finish editing clik on file then save, clik on file again and clik on exit your done. I would do it this way rather then use a real since the fewer mods that you run the better imo.
