Anyway to bring Flak back to life ?

Flak's probably not the best person to bring back to life. How did ARKANSAS kill him anyways? They're miles away! You can still buy stuff from shrapnel, though, and flak has agressive tendencies, and a fat man. If you really want to bring him back, find his body, bring up the console, and type "resurrect" after clicking on his body.

One thing that I'm not sure about is if references have the same form IDs game to game. In my game the original Flak has a form ID of 0001e749. If its the same for your game, then you could try these:

 

prid 0001e749

(enable)

resurrect

moveto player

 

The way to make sure this will work is that when you type in the prid command, Flak's reference should appear at the top of the screen in white lettering. He may also be disabled so an additional command of "enable" should then be used anywhere after the prid command. If the prid command does not indicate Flak, then either your game's form ID is different than mine, or he has been permanently removed from the game. Also, I believe using the placeatme command will yeild a new copy, but the copy should have the same AI packages and factions, but not the same reference links (like to a mercahnt container). I haven't figured out yet how to force a spawned NPC to link to an existing merchant contianer - if its even possible. If anyone knows how, I'd love to hear it. So would the OP.

 

Basically, placeatme will make a copy that has all the detail from the objects Base form, but not anything from the reference form. This is in relation to the GECK. I have modded using placeatme quite frequently, and every spawned actor has had the correct factions, AI, dialogue, scripts, etc... - but not the enable or active parents, linked references and so forth.

I always release Arkansas last and make sure he has no weapons, I always set each NPC health to' setav health 5000' with the cheat console tilda so they survive the jail break or rescue, also Flak wont talk to you anymore after you rescue him, so you'll have to deal with shrapnol anyways at revitcity!..
