OOC> I am still here. I will PM the others and if there is no further interest I'll move those who want to continue into thread A. However theta, morgoth and titanania have all posted as if they wanted to go on. I will see what the PMs produce.

As soon as he is able to move again, Chucahau stumbles a few steps back (i.e. into the room, not into the ambulatory) and spins around to see whether they are being attacked.

Eyes widened, sweat pouring down his face and trembling all over his body he cries out "Aeea, help us!" and begins rummaging in his carrying bag to find his waterskin and the small sacks of pigments.

The clicking sounds coming from the ambulatory suggest bone on stone and more than one. It is time to ready weaponery and plan. The approaching 'skeletons' are coming from the right as you face the door. It should be possible for at least ne of you to run around the ambulatory to attack them from behind if they are hostile. Kane's bulk is blocking the way they are coming.

Kyrika steps back involuntarily when the statue beside her begins to speak, and stares at the blood leaking form the eyes.

'So it is true... you were snared by someone who betrayed your trust. Your eyes.. what would this Ruhir want them for? So you, too, had to find out that you can't trust anyone. I know how it feels.

He betrayed them all.. and yet they still hope. A heart... whose heart are they talking about? Ruhir's own? Or is he looking for a 4th victim? Perhaps he wants one of us... and that's why we were lured here.'

The scraping sound of stone on stone makes her jump.

"He's coming for us!" she calls out, panicking. "It's a trap!"

She flees to Khyros' side. "What are we going to do?" she asks, panicstricken. "I've never fought before... tell me what to do!"

Clumsily she draws her throwing knife. Seeing Kane move to face the threat calms her a little.

'There are fighters in our group - they'll know what to do. If they say to stay out of the way, I'll stay out of the way. If they say 'run', I'll run. That's the best I can do.'

The bony sounds send a shiver down her spine.

'Bones? Are we in some necromancer's den? What good is a throwing knife against skeletons? What I'd need is something more solid... a cudgel, or some stones to throw at them...'

She glances around to see if there is any suitable debris on the ground, and anxiously waits for someone to tell her what she should do.

OOC> I'm sorry Werewolf but I do believe AP tests are valid reasons to be STUDYING AS MUCH AS I CAN. I dont know if college credit is important tto you, but it definitely is to me and I'm sorry if my academics are ahead of this RPG on importance scale. I thought the whole point of this thing was to relax.

As the doors slam shut, Aldhelm as slams shut his tome to prtect it from damage and to watch the unfolding events. The statues appear to being having a conversation without noticing the members of their party. Confused by the "taking" of something dear to both people by the other confuses Aldhelm.

However, his confusion did not last long. Shivering violently, he glanced around. Pulling the Fire Focus Staff from its sling on his back, he glances around to see if he can find the sources of the peculiar noises. He sees Khyros also moving to see what the noises are from.

Suddenly he hears Kane shout, "Khryos hold it!...if anyone is to go in first it will be me but I ain't understanding what the statues meant...sure this Ruhir guy has taken things from them...yet they also say he would come back to them...the girl said he would come back when he has found himself...that is probably why he took her eyes...the warrior said he will come back when he has completed the quest...what quest exactly and finally the mage said he will come back when he has his heart...hence why the mage said something about he will have his heart...something strange is going on and it is all connected to this Ruhir character but at this very moment in time...I think we need to worry about our 'host' "

Deciding to follow his advice about standing behing the huge warrior, Aldhelm begins to move towards him.

"I am glad that you offer us protection so readlily, friend, but I warn you, my Magicka can become quite violent at times and I would be devastated if my flames damaged my allies more than my enemies."

Seeing Kyrika looking around timidly, Aldhelm gestures for her to get behind him and Kane. " Dear lady, Isee that you are rather uncomfortable with the knife you hold some bravely. Mayhaps you would prefer to sit out this battle? I'm quite sure in my and Kane's abilities, along with the others in our group, to adequately defend you from harm. Mayhaps after things have calmed down, I can show a few tricks I have learned involving short blades during my training. Even though it is a throwing dagger, it doesn't have to be thrown."

Gripping his staff gently but firmly, he begins to whisper an incantation that will loosen the bonds holding some of the power in the gem.

As he glances over to the others of the group, Chucahau notices Kyrika, who seems to be quite uneasy and anxious, standing next to Khyros. Apparently unsuccessful in his search, he draws his attention from his carrying bag to the door and his companions, picks up the spear he has dropped and rushes over to them.

"Kyrika, be careful! Stay away from the door! Try to keep out of the fight!" he cries and points with his finger away from the door.

Then he assumes a position half a step behind Kane on the side where Kane does not wield his sword and crouches, looking like a predator ready to jump at his prey.

OOC> You might want to reconsider your formation. Atm you are all facing whatever is approaching and yet you cannot all fight as the passage is not wide enough. Kane is also large. I would suggest someone goes round the other side of the ambulatory and launches a surprise attack from the rear. Otherwise you could be picked off one by one.

Does anyone have sense life spells in their repertoire?

As soon as one of you says go I will post what you are facing.

When he has taken his position, Chucahau reassesses their situation.

"This will not do ... there is not enough room!" he mumbles under his breath.

Stepping around Kane, he adds in a clearer tone: "You stay here - fight, and protect Kyrika!"

With these words, he vanishes to the left into the ambulatory. Putting his left hand to the wall, spear in his right hand, he hurries around the ambulatory, but tries to remain as silent as possible and not to run into the approaching enemy's back before it has reached the chamber.

OOC> Thanks for completely ignoring my dialogue with Theta, Morgoth.....

As Aldhelm got into a ready position to face whatever might be making these strange noises, he quickly realized several things. The passage they were attempting to use was far too small for them to all squeeze into. And it was foolish for him to wonder what might be making these noises when he might be able to tell with one of his potions. Pulling out the package of local ingredients he had been granted before departing for the island, Aldhelm pulled out his tome and furiously leafed through his tome in search of the effects that might detect life or magic of some kind. (Malchik you can decide if he has some or not)

Also, Aldhelm turns to Kane and says, "Friend, I think that your impressive bulk might make it near impossible for me to fire my Inferno magics around you without singeing you. Perhaps when the battle starts I could persuade you to let me slip by....? Many thanks."

Kane grunts at Aldhelm, his eyes glancing behind his shoulder as he watches Cuch run off to hold an ambush of somesort, slowly he tilts his head to the left and right, very slowly as several cracks echo around them, his intention was to shield those behind them yet all he had to do was take two steps forward...he smirks muttering towards Aldhelm

"I maybe large but I am also quick lad...just give a few more minutes, I'll charge leaving the rest of you to either follow or stay but you my friend will need to light up the area...I'm good and I've trained against multiple enemies in the dark before...but that is when I know what I'm up against...this time I'm in the unknown but whatever they are...I doubt they will be standing after I've finished with them"

He grins glancing upwards raising an eyebrow since this wasn't the time for his eyes to play tricks on him, it seemed that he caught a glimpse of a hanging light or something that could produce light, he asks Aldhelm to confirm this while he also keeps an eye on the approaching enemies, the grip on his hilt tightens as his eyes narrow further into the darkness, then in a flash he snorts and sets off with a tremondous roar and pace, charging to whatever awaits him, if his ears were aiding him correctly his slash should land in the middle of the multiple enemies and leave him surrounded where he can attack yet allow the others to pick some off as well...when it came to his job, Kane didn't care how he did it or how it was done...or how he ended up at the end, as long as he did the job and was able to collect payment, he was happy, after all they usually say to gain a fortune you have to give an arm and a leg
