WereWolf531
OOC: Well, I'm ready and waiting for the next thing to happen...just been checking up on this daily, so don't think I've abandoned it. I've just been lost in Kingdom Hearts 2.
Malchik
OOC> You really have to decide where to go next. You have seven temples to visit and the order is not important yet. If you need advice I can give it but it would be best to agree together. I gave indications of times etc a couple of posts back. If one of you makes a suggestion I hope the others will agree. Assume you have left the temple with your own thoughts and returned to th lodgings in silence. Kyrika will have told you what she heard of course, no need to repeat it. Toss a coin or go for the nearest (Dohoti).
DragonDudeAW
As he looked around at his companions, Aldhelm decided to voice his opinion. Thereon was quite specific that he needed to solve this problem as quickly as possible. " I think we need to get back on the road to get to the bottom of this whole mess. I suggect we travel to the nearest temple and see what we find there regarding this whole immortal businesss and everlasting life. As a matter of fact, this practice of everlasting life is common for almost all mages from my region but this method is so much more perverse and distorted and .... WRONG. It must be stopped. I suggest we head to Dohoti to see what we can find about how to bring an end to this grisly process. "
WereWolf531
OOC: sorry if the post is a little...I dunno, not really in the right mindset...kinda sad that I just finished Kingdom Hearts 2. "I agree, Dohoti sounds good to me, being the closest, I think I'm still rested enough for a look at another temple." Taking a seat in the bar area, Khyros begins to write in his journal all that has happened so far, except for Kyrika's story, which he has already copied down. He then began to try to make sense of what had occured back at the temple, but to no avail. "I shall be ready to leave whenever you all are," he finally adds, so that the others know he is prepared. ixnos
OOC: I am back for the time being, my sister went into labour yesterday, gave birth to my 5lb 9oz nephew Kane hmm's and grumbles while finding the nearest object to lean against while the group decides their next trip, his mind going back to the battle against the skeletal minions, they felt and fought so real yet vanished with no trace and like nothing happened...usually this was how a strong fighter would be found, if a fighter couldn't handle the stress of battle or ran while in battle they would be casted out the camp...yet the tests were not even close to what he has seen, this sort of stuff would mess with their minds and more or less drive them to killing themselves. Kane, however was the strongest in mind and physical combat of his camp, he wasn't greatly educated nor was he a Psionic or had mind powers yet he could understand things that others couldn't and his detemination and curiousity would allow him to push on for the answer and this is why Kane hasn't ran, instead he couldn't understand how the skeletons could cause damage yet have no trace, he glances at his arm while he listened to the others, no markings, no poison...he sighs then remembers that the others mentioned about no trace of their attacks either...which was also strange...finally Kane stops thinking about what happened. "Aye, Dohoti sounds like a good place to go...also close to that other temple the spirit wants us to go to contact her next...I say the faster we get movin the fast we sort all of this out and get back to our...somewhat normal lifes"
ThetaOrionis01
After a bath and a change of clothes Kyrika has finally managed to rid herself of the unclean taint the encounter with Costanta had left her with. She listens to the others' suggestions while she slowly sips her tea. "Dohoti would be a good place to go, I think. Much as I dislike this Costanta, what she told me seems to be the only clue we have to go on. I think we should try to contact the spirits of Ruhir's other... victims.. before we speak to her again, though - only then, I think, will we know what to ask her, and perhaps be able to judge her motives better." She takes another sip. "Perhaps it would be wise to plan not only our next step, but also the ones after - Dohoti next, and where then? And..." - she pauses - "I would greatly appreciate it if one of you would be so kind as to teach me the basics of defending myself against enemies such as we might encounter." Malchik
OOC> Okay I will move you on to Dohoti tomorrow. Perhaps in the meantime someone will help Kyrika. You can get to Dohoti by camel train or boat. Any preferences?
ixnos
Kane doesn't move from his spot whilst the others do their thing, he listens to Kyrika and shrugs finally lifting off the object he was leaning against, more or less a wall or a strong support, he cracks his neck a few times before heading towards the door "I'm about to head out and do some training myself, so you can either join in or watch...I will admit, although I am strong in both mind and body...what happened in that temple today has spooked me beyond belief...You lot may have seen it, Aldhelm you may have sensed it...but I felt it...that dagger and the poison was real and the loss of my arm in battle was even more real yet they vanished like it was all a dream...I can't explain how it felt and I can't explain what happened but I can say that, we have only tasted what is to come and I am not going to sit around and wait for the same thing to happen...I was caught off guard this time, it won't happen again" He grunts, showing his usual rude attitude, to the others it would come off as rude yet to him he was frustrated with himself...he sets off outside and into a widened space, away from people so no accidents occur, first he gets his body ready, the usual round of press-ups and jogging, using everyday objects such as a tree branch to help him. Once he is satisfied he then stands with his head lowered and eyes closed, listening to everything around him, his breathing calm as he focuses...clearing his mind of distractions and doubts, worst thing for a warrior is to doubt himself. Slowly Kane opens his eyes, drawing his sword and getting within a defence stance, he then proceeds to slash and thrust at thin air, going through combinations of attacks then attacks and defences and then defences, all which consist of slash, thrust, parry and block...all varying at different strengths and speeds. The natives watch on with disgust yet Kane doesn't really care, he continues, using a nearby tree as a base for a target...if he was at home he would use multiple trees close together for proper training yet he would have to settle for what he has unless someone else can offer a better training area. Kane normally continues this training until he becomes tired or is interupted yet if someone was to sneak up on him, he would make an attack towards them and stop just millimetres away from them...if the person is friendly he would smirk at their reaction, if the person wasn't then he wouldn't hesitate to batter them into submission and get them to speak...although if Kyrika takes up his offer then he would know not to attack her fully
DragonDudeAW
Seeing Kane make an offer to Kyrika to provide hand-to-hand training, he decides to offer his services as well. "Kyrika, I saw that you looked rather unsure of how to use the blade in your hand when we were in that "battle", if you can call it that, and would like to offer my assistance to your short bldde skills. If you choose to accept my training, you can begin right now or as soon as Kane is done showing you how to defend yourself with your hands. I think that you might be better off with a short blade, though, since it doesn't require so much brute force to disable your opponent that way." After he makes his offer, Aldhelm turns towards the barkeep and says jokingly, " Do you have anything strong enough to erase my feelings from the last few days? I have a feeling that experience might be more of a hindrace than a help. Either way, I'll take a drink. "
ThetaOrionis01
Having heard Kane make his offer to teach her, Kyrika isn't sure how to refuse without appearing rude and ungrateful. She is relieved when Aldhelm speaks. "I'm afraid I lack the strength for your kind of fighting, Kane, but I do appreciate your kind offer. I doubt that I could even lift a sword! The dagger, I think, is much more suitable for me." She accords Kane an apologetic smile before turning to Aldhelm. "Thank you, Aldhelm. I would be very grateful if you could teach me how to use this dagger to protect myself. At the moment, I fear, I am as likely to cut myself as I am to injure an opponent. I am eager to begin, whenever you are ready." She pauses briefly. "Ah, but what of our quest? Who will make the arrangements for our travel? Personally I would prefer travelling by ship where possible - on board a ship, I hope, there is at least a slight chance of a cooling breeze."
