ThetaOrionis01
Kyrika pulls the scarf she had requested in Papred more tightly around herself, shivering as she looks at the 'city'. "I could try to pick the lock," she says, quietly. "It doesn't look too difficult. But it might well attract the attention of the local guard - I'd prefer not to risk that. Though I don't much like the look of the city - and I certainly wouldn't wish to be locked up in it."
Morgoth
Chucahau, with a shocked look on his face due to Kyrika's comment, intervenes: "Whatever our options may be, breaking into this temple would be a desecration of this place - we cannot do this. No one should dare to upset a god, and I will prevent anyone from trying it."
DragonDudeAW
Aldhelm decides to express his opinion, " I tend to agree with you, Chucahau. Angering gods is not something I would like to do, ever, if I can avoid it. But if we risk to venture into the city and a sandstorm strikes while we are venturing there, it could be very bad for our entire group. So, as we analyze these options, we quickly realize our situation is far from easy to deal with. How angry would gods be if their temples were used for a sanctum against the elements? If we have no intentions of defiling the holy place and only want to enter to seek safety, how could we be doomed by the gods? Mayhaps, they want us to enter quickly instead of having to deal with the bureacracy of having to prove we have the right to enter the tomb. Malchik
ooc> I'm back on topic - You have been given the right to enter every temple by Bharat. His authority may not reach to the extremes of the country but Dohoti is close enough for him to be known and feared. As the consensus seems to be to try to visit the temple (to inspect it under government orders) I don't think it could be seen as desecration. Of course, Chucahau will have to make sure none of the other members of the party steps outside of the brief. Kyrika finds the lock easy to deal with. From the entrance in the plinth a narrow staircase descends to a wide chamber. There are several plinths all of them empty. All of you have an odd sense that your actions are being watched though there is nobody to do the watching. Maybe it is the god - whoever he or she is. In the centre of the floor is a heavy stone grating. Lifting it, you see the entrance to the lowest level of the temple. It is an ossuary but you cannot make out details without going down into it. The whole place is absolutely silent.
DragonDudeAW
Not wishing to disturb the stunningly eery silence of the inner temple chambers. He quietly gestures to the others in the group he plans to venture into the lower temple chambers and then pulls out his dagger before he begis to descend into the eery blackness that he sees beyond the stone grate. ThetaOrionis01
"Aldhelm," Kyrika says quietly, not wishing to disturb the silence of the temple, "it seems to me that perhaps my skill at changing shapes may serve us here. A bat, perhaps. In such form I should be able to discover what lies below, and what dangers await."
ixnos
OOC:sorry for the long absence, the plan to reformat my HDD backfired and lost my PC for a month, not to mention I forgot the forum URL :P Kane grunts at the religious folk or atleast those that respect it, he doesn't mind others having a belief but when it gets in the way of his job that is when it bothers him, he glances at the others and makes it quite clear where he lies within the situation as Kyrika picks the lock. "Hmm...I'm only going to say this once...temple or not...if another door stops us, I'm going straight through it and I don't care who has a problem with that...I get a job done no matter how much destruction is left behind me...at the end of the day I am here to make sure you lot don't get yourselves killed He cracks his neck and heads in after Kyrika and Aldhelm, listening to their quiet gestures he quietly replies. "Good idea Kyrika, me and Aldhelm will venture slowly behind you, I suggest a few others stay back incase we have a few uninvited guests...unless you all prefer me to stay back and the rest go ahead?" He draws his weapon while awaiting an answer from the group.
DragonDudeAW
At Kyrika's comment, it takes all of Aldhelm's willpower not to gawk at the shy young girl that he has been instructing in the use of daggers over the passage to the Jade temple. He even feels compelled to to break the strange silence of the temple with a quiet comment towards Kyrika, "If, If you had this ability why did you need my guidance and instructions with daggers? Why not simply shift shape into a creature suitable for fighting such a sand dragon or dire wolf? This ability would most likely serve you far better in battle than would a blade. I had no idea you possessed such an ability at all..." Aldhelm quickly pulls himself together and continues talking to Kyrika, "However, this does not change the present situation. I believe you changing into a bat would serve our group tremendously and I will gladly assist Kan in doing my best to protect you from the evils this temple may possess. However, if you are not bothered of course, could we discuss your ability a little more at length in somewhere a little less cramped and uncomfortable than this sanctum? I am greatly interested in learning as much as I can about such magicka, having only been taught the basics of other schools besides Fire and Alchemy by my mentor." Turning to Kane, Aldhelm says, "Kane, since your blade makes my daggers look like a needle designed for sewing, (aldhelm grins) perhaps it would be best if I used my Fire magic to boost our efforts to protect Kyrika? Over the long passage, my staff is now completely recharges so I will not have to exghaust myself with such lengthy castings." OOC> Glad to have you back, Ixnos. I have been having laptop troubles (Saving data, reinstalling Windows, fighting the viruses that killed the orginal Windows, all sorts of fun) but I luckily ha d a desktop I could use. Like I said, Glad to have you back. And just so you know, runnign a Google search for 'Heart of Ruhir' will pull this site up and it will even be on the correct page :) Just so you guys know, probably won't be an issue, but I'm going to be away from a computer for a few days with my church group on a mission trip we are taking to San Antonio. Malchik
OOC>I am unsure whether a bat sees so much as hears so the description may come from the others. The ossuary is dark as the tomb but lights from your lamps illuminate thousands of bones. They have been arranged into fantastical shapes (ooc>google sedlec ossuary to get the idea). Walls, pillars, altars - everything is made up of bones. The ossuary appears quite uninhabited and you are about to return to the upper level when one of you knocks against a pillar. A bone falls to the floor. A moment later another bone in a different part of the ossuary tumbles to the ground. And suddenly several hundred bones of various sizes are falling around you. The bones are coming together in the form of one skeleton and there is a grimly comical moment when it selects a skull and fits it onto the neck. A moment later you are looking at the girl whose statue you first saw in the Sea Temple at Papred. She appears to be real, but a close look shows that her eyes are made of polished stones. She cannot see you and speaks in the general direction of your breathing. "Er - Hello. Have you come to see me? It is a long time since I had a visitor. Oh, perhaps Ruhir has sent you. Do tell me how he is!" The girl smiles. She has not noticed the bat.

On topic: Aldhelm finally gives into the urge to gape at the vast energies being controlled into the room he follows Kane into as they guard the bat is apparently Kyrika. He eyes the walls questionably, hoping these bones will not become the skeletons they recently had to fight.. Even as they are looking around, Aldhelm accidentally bumps against one of the pillars in the morbid palace. As the bone falls, others begin to fall until Aldhelm is staring at a girl, who resembles the statue from the first temple. She gazes towards them with apparently unseeing stones for eyes. Finally she speaks, "Er - Hello. Have you come to see me? It is a long time since I had a visitor. Oh, perhaps Ruhir has sent you. Do tell me how he is!" She smiles. Aldhelm is quite taken aback by the girl's easygoing nature, seeing that she is constructed of only bones and gems. "Hello, I do suppose we have come to visit you. However, Ruhir has not sent us. In fact, if you don't mind me asking, I have a few questions for you. First of all, let's get down to introductions. My name is Aldhelm and this is my companion, Kane. May I ask your name and may I also ask how you know Ruhir?"
