Illiad86
haha you faced the same problem I did when I had a laptop...improper stupid airflow design  Had to make "feet" for mine out of Sculpey modeling clay until I got a notebook cooler haha. You could probably call Norton to reclaim your code if you registered with them...if not, it's on the CD case I know...my grandma had that BS of a program. Is it 2009 atleast? I wouldn't reinstall if it wasn't hahah...
Bridgepiece
Figured it out. Its the fan. Because of where the fan is located (right on the bottom), I dont think enough cool air can get it and enough hot air can get out. I propped it up on 2 books, and it seems to have fixed it. Though, thanks to all of you, I now have about 177 GB of free memory and about 4 gb of RAM. Arma 2 might not be a lag fest anymore! See!! I told ya so! lmao.. to bad u had reinstalled everything, shoulda checked the fans before hand ;) Glad to see your back and running tho!
Medieval_Swordsman1994
The random lag spazems could have been caused by fragmentation in your hardrive Would have been fast and easy to fix (When i say fast i meen like 1hour - 2days!) LHammonds
If you cannot get Norton working or is too old, give Comodo Internet Security a try. It is 100% free and a quality product (anti-malware, anti-virus, firewall). 3rd Party Review of Security Suites LHammonds
