Help creating deliberately OP sword

Decided to finally try my hand at a little advanced modding, but I'm going to need some serious help with my idea...and it's honestly probably not something a beginner should try, but I'm going to anyways. (Watch out, we got a bada** over here)

I'm looking to create a spell or Shout that, when used, makes your blade stupid-fast and flings incredibly overpowered energy ribbons a la Bloodskal, but with every attack instead of just the power attacks (though I guess if the weapon speed is high enough it wouldn't matter).

I got the idea from Bleach, honestly (oh crap, she's an anime freak! Shun the non-believer! Shun!)

My question is as follows:

Can the idea even work with the game engine?

I'm no scripter, so something SKSE-dependent is totally out of the question, but I figure there's got to be a way to tweak whatever it is that makes Bloodskal do what it does, turn it into a spell/Shout, and make it applicable to any weapon. I know Elemental Fury ups the speed of your weapon quite a bit, so that much is possible...it's the energy ribbon thing I'm concerned mostly about. (Great, she has NO idea what she's even talking about)

Any and ALL help is most definitely appreciated, negative remarks that aren't constructive criticism will be ignored altogether.

And pardon the bits after some of those lines...I mixed Red Bull with Pepsi, so I'm a bit goofy right now. (Only a bit?)

hmm, as a non modder, the help i can give you is litte, but the speed thingy is possible, open up the ck, and compare a dagger and a sword, you see they will have diferent value in speed, (if you do it that way you have a reference in how fast it goes by taking it like the knife and maybe just a little faster.) the bloodska effect, i dont know if it is hard coded or not, but if it is hard coded you can unly use that in power attacks (and would that not fit well withthe theme as i recall sutch atack in bleach is only when they use more power than normal? (long time since i read bleach :P)

True, the Getsuga Tenshou was kind of a "GTFO my face" move. I'm just thinking about movie 3, "Fade To Black: I Call Your Name". There's a scene where Ichigo beats the crap out of Komamura's bankai with a barrage of them...made me laugh my behind off.

Okay, so I found a Bleach mod that has basically what I'm looking for in it. The problem is that it transforms a fixed weapon into another fixed weapon to do so. However, there's a special "ability" that gets added that does exactly what I'm talking about...minus the speed increase. For now, I'm going to pull that magic effect out of that mod and apply it to a weapon just to see how it goes.

Update...pulled open that mod, started looking at the various bits and bobs, and ragequit the Creation Kit. I have NO idea what I'm doing, I'm in WAY over my head, I definitely need help.

However, thanks to that mod, I now know that it IS possible to add the burst effect I want. I just don't know how to do it.

1. Have you looked at Bloodskaal to see how it works? That's where I would start.

2. the spell effect you're going to want is (if I recall) "add item effect" which temporarily adds an enchantment to your weapon. so you'll need a spell with this effect and an enchantment with the bloodskal(like) enchantment.

3. Obviously the place to look to learn how to increase speed with a spell is to the elemental fury voice power.

I would start by repurposing these three elements from Bethesda, and then get fancy by tweaking them. You'll have a growing sense of satisfaction as your mod gets closer to what you want to play, and in the meantime you'll have something that you can have fun with right away even if it isn't exactly what you want right away.

I would tend to doubt that this will be possible without scripting but you can cross that bridge when you come to it.

For some reason, trying to load Dragonborn into the Creation Kit crashes the whole damn thing...

I think I figured out exactly what I want to do with this sword. Instead of being an overpowered, stupidly fast sword that flings stuff everywhere (I can see that getting incredibly out of hand very quickly...), I want a sword that starts at normal speed, and as you swing it, becomes faster and faster, as if the blade itself is inciting a bloodlust in you, demanding to drink more of the blood of your enemies. I'd love to add scripted effects to it, like maybe being given bonuses for "feeding" it, penalties for going just so long without using it...basically, a blade that enslaves your very soul when you first pick it up. Maybe even add a quest where, when you get close to the location in-game where I'm going to place it, the blade starts "speaking" to you...

The speed thing is getting to be a problem. Just setting the weapon's speed from 1.0 to 2.0 makes it so fast that the animations barely play at all. It's...insane.
