wizardmirth
Would this be possible with a playstation controller? PS3 ones are wireless, but they all have a cord that you can plug in that's a USB. I'd be quite surprised if that were the case. Microsoft makes a usb cord and wireless versions of their 360 controller for the PC. I've been using it ever since I got Oblivion and it is awesome. I also recommend Hov's Hotkeys for equipping up to 6 different sets you chose or up to 18 spells! Brilliant.
owenhbrown
I was hoping somebody could assist me in doing this. I have transfered the .pro file to the ControlMK folder, however the program does not recognise it or lost it in the profiles window. Should I downgrade to an older version? I have activated the profile in J2K and everything actually works ok EXCEPT for the left thumbstick, and the game does not recognise the pad in the menus. TabuKuroshi
Would this be possible with a playstation controller? PS3 ones are wireless, but they all have a cord that you can plug in that's a USB. You can get a driver so your PC picks up the ps3 controller. There are some out there that are buggy. I'll see if I can locate the one I use. I haven't tried it for Oblivion yet, I used mine for a few other games. To be honest I was glad when I could use a keyboard and mouse. I do not endorse this, it took me several attempts. I also had to disable UAC, and do a few other things. I am merely showing you that it is possible. **DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK** I'm not saying you are going to destroy your pc, but I don't want to be the one blamed if it is not done right, you know what I mean? lol Taken from Playstation.com Forum: PS3 Controller on PC you need the SixAxis Driver:Download it from here:http://dl.qj.net/playstation-3/tools-and-utilities/sixaxis-driver-for-pc.html 1.) Download and extract the archive into a newly created folder on your (Desktop) for example2.) Double click on "libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1" in your new folder where everything is, and run through the installation process.3.) Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC via your USB cable.4.) Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once. A black command prompt window will appear for a couple seconds. This is what is meant to happen as it is activating the new driver.5.) When the window closes, press and hold the PS button on the Sixaxis controller for about 5 seconds. If you want to see if the controller is being detected: 1. Go to Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware > Game Controllers.2. Select the Playstation 3 controller and choose Properties. A dialog window will appear.3. Move both the analog sticks and press the buttons. The cursor and bars will move in the Axis section and the numbers in the Buttons area will light up.4. If output is displayed, the controller is properly detected and working fine.

davidk64
I'm having the same problem. When I run ControlMK there is no controller to find even though the "ControlMK.pro" file is in the folder. I'm running Vista32 home user edition - perhaps that's the problem?
majikmonkee
This is kind of cool that this is even possible, though admittedly I'm so much better aiming with the mouse and keyboard, this would probably make me slightly worse...
howneydippa
ill start off by saying this is easiest done using the OS Windows Xp. use xpadder {a keyboard to gamepad emulator of sorts} and ps3sixaxis_en and your set. plug in ps3 controller after install of LibUSB-Win32, run application "ps3sixaxis_en" and press ps button once, no need to hold down, although everytime you retstart computer and or close/relaunch libusb-nt.exe, you must again run "ps3sixaxis_en" and press ps button . i use it all the time :), though tweaking xpadder to user preference is a must. you can also use a ps3 controller with bluetooth dongle, suggest it only to those with expierience in messing with a computer. Preform the above stated at own risk, sincerely Dippa. PS: not trying to step on toes or anything, i just thought more info could be useful, of course these are my personal expieriences with said programs and OS.
