DaDoomGuy
Alright so after playing the Warzones mod in New Vegas, I was looking to find one for Fallout 3(mostly oriented around BoS vs Super Mutants or Enclave vs BoS) So... how would I go about adding in these NPC's? the tutorials just tell me how to make a new NPC(I do not need to do that) not how to place him in the world. DaDoomGuy
Anyone know?
gunslinger6792
To add an npc you would either set a spawn point or manually drag the npc from the list into the gecks world render window.
DaDoomGuy
That's the problem... I don't know how to pull it up, the best I can do on my own is edit armor and guns.
gunslinger6792
Then you should really go through and do some geck tutorials but if all you know how to do is edit armor and guns you have a long way to go my friend. Still its never to late to start learning.
DaDoomGuy
So... ANY help at all provided? I can open the Geck, edit gear, weapons, items, but opening up a sector of the world to add NPC's or items is beyond me and is not very well detailed inside the tutorials(it expects you to know how to, and as I've seen, it's NOT as simple as double clicking a file...) and as a plus as I said in the first post:"the tutorials just tell me how to make a new NPC(I do not need to do that) not how to place him in the world." DaDoomGuy
WILL ANYONE HELP ME?!?! I've looked through the tutorials, seriously, I have, NONE of them say a thing about p[lacing NPC's, it's all about making a new NPC with dialogue, making a new NPC, making a new gun. how can you be expected to progress is modding unless something is there to give assistance? unfortunately Bethesda didn't think their tutorials very well out, and the community tutorials suck just as bad if not worse! I finally figured out how to place an NPC(due to a friend helping me) and now here's a new problem, how do I get the NPC onto the floor? like I want to just drag and drop, but they go too high up into the air, if you can give a proper tutorial PLEASE by all means give it, please. Billy1969
Gunslinger already pointed out you need to learn some GECK tutorials, how to properly align objects and npc's with ground level is contained in the very first basic one, see youtube for some good tutorials. I have a feeling you will become a regular visitor on these boards asking for help as once you have placed your npc correctly there is still a (mega)ton of stuff to learn and far less easy things than placing npc's I'm affraid. Also the GECK is in imho a real pain in the bottom to operate correctly and has the ability to aggravate me very quickly although I am a rather patient person, so you have been warned :)
DaDoomGuy
No he did not recommend a tutorial(I already checked them) and I've asked for a tutorial(surprised I asked for a tutorial rather than someone to do it for me? guess asking for someone to do it for me would have gotten better results) seriously, stop being smug guys, and sened me to a proper tutorial. but then since that's all you've said, how about you also make the mod for me? it would be a lot more work than simply pointing me to the correct tutorial, but with how things have seemed to be, it looks like making the mod for me might be less work. so, what say you?
