klutzy
Ok, so here I am, Dalish Elf Grey Warden. I've beaten Ostagar, recruited help from Lothering (Which has been sacked now) and saved the Tower of Mages. Sadly, the Village of Redcliffe has been taken by the Undead in the Castle after I deserted it so I've decided to avenge the poor villagers and retake the castle. Now here is where I'm stuck, I've been fighting my way through the Castle with little difficulty until I got into the Courtyard. So this is the situation. I walk into the Courtyard, 5 undead Archers are sitting on the stairs firing at me and my party. 5 more undead and a Relevant (that big weird looking *ban me* in armour which is nearly invincible have literally spawned out of the dirt to the left of me. Because Undead are such a pain and that Relevant is invincible, my party consisting of Wynne, Alistair and Morrigan keeps getting killed, including me. Tactics don't help and everything I've tried only gets me a little bit further and I've run out of ideas. Plus, I'm playing on Easy lol, so is there anyone that can help by giving me some advice? Would much appreciate it as I really like this game and I'm eager to beat it.
VictoriaG
Well you got 2 mages there, Wynn for healing and Morrigan for the damaging. I have 3 mages in my party and all of them I made sure to get winters grasp and cone of cold plus paralysis wards, also wynn can revive fallen party members and has a stack of healing type spells. I always head straight to the Revenant and freeze it and keep freezing it letting the others deal with the archers. I actually managed to save the vilage without losing a single villager, you end up getting a little reward for that.
Khanor
When you get to the courtyard, before you do anything make sure you quicksave. Then put your party on hold status so they dont move, take your hero and make a mad dash for the gate. once there you will see a lever on the wall, pull it to open the gate. You now have 4 Redcliff knights to help in the fight. Use your healer to keep the knights alive while your party deals with the archers on the stairs. When they are dead turn to help the knights fight the revrent and his minions. It's a fun, tough fight. Hope this advice helps you. PS.. try to save as many knights as you can, you may need them in the castle later.. just sayin :P
Branimirzg
yea... Open the gates, it makes that fight much easier
Xsari
Um i dont think opening the gate will work because he said the village fell, therefore all the knights will be a little dead. I think Floydian has the best salution, that usually worked for me.
TGBlank
I do not know of your spell or stat build, so i can only give you basic pointers. Hold position, make your team hug the wall, move a character towards the start of the stairs. As soon as the archers aggro pull back to the wall and hug it, the archers will come down because they can't shoot you from above. Make short work of the archers. Have your team stand either behind the stairs or in them so pull doesn't end with your healer in front of revvy, and send a tank towards the revenant. Tank while your team heals and kills zombies, make sure you always have a low wall or wall of sorts between you and revvy to avoid pull.Once zombies are gone, do regular tank&spank. As for spells, revvy is immune to nature and frost damage (tho CoC still freezes), he got no blood to control or wound, and can't be put to sleep or stunned with rogue talents. Elexadora
I pick off the archers first from range, then use single pull technique to take the Relevant's guards...if you get the Relevant alone he's pretty easy.
Vaard
i put all my characters on hold, switched to range weapons, then pulled them to me one by one...... most died before getting in melee range...... once they are all down, you can solo the revenant....... TotallyNotToastyFresh
I'm also stuck here. This game seems stupidly hard, mainly because when I play on easy the entire thing should be a breeze.
TGBlank
The game gets a lot easier when you get the hang of it. To the point where, say, solo shapeshifter-only mage unarmed & unarmored on nightmare is a breeze. Try applying some base tactics like tanking or luring. Not every encounter can be solved through charging at your foe mindlessly, not even in easy.
