orphanblack
Hi guys. So, I'm downloading a lot of quest mods for Skyrim (none activated yet). I was wondering if it's a known rule that people should uninstall every downloaded quests after they finish the questlines? Would it ruin my Skyrim (or save files) if I deactivated/uninstalled with my Nexus Mod Manager and then I play the same saved-game without that certain quest mod? If there's a "quest mod" guide out there for noobs, I would love to read it. Sorry in advance if many other people asked this question. Thanks! Hyacathusarullistad
My understanding is that larger new world mods - Wyrmstooth, Moonpath to Elsweyr, Falskaar - should be installed when you intend to play them and removed when you're done, to help with stability. This is directly contrary to conventional modding wisdom which states that unintsalling mods mid-playthrough is just about the worst thing you could do. Mods that add quests to the Skyrim worldspace - Helgen Reborn, Fight Against the Thalmor, etc. - should be left running once installed.

So, in regards to new world mods like Falskaar, I should uninstall. If I were to play the same game file after removing, it would not ruin my gameplay? Thanks! Deleted1234612User
Removing mods like Wyrmstooth and Falskaar after playing through them would be like uninstalling official DLC; it's likely to destabilize your game. Neither Wyrmstooth nor Falskaar should adversely affect performance as they both take place in separate worldspaces outside of Skyrim, like Dragonborn.
