volchik696 Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Hey everybody, New to the modding game. Awesome stuff. So I have came to the point to where my game became very unstable. After 3 different start overs of game install and mod load orders I got it to work well, played up to Megaton. Now in Megaton after visiting saloon, clinic, water plant, etc. game breaks down. Instead of realis pipboy (mod) that worked at first is a pinkish tinted screen. Escape key stops working. Color changes in bushes and sunlight. Cant start convo's with some npc's. Sometimes characters are red exclamation points. Can't get Lucy West to "get into that bed for me". (she moronically keeps walking into a wall upstairs in the saloon). Pink eyes. And last, exiting Megaton ctd now every time. Tried loading other saves, saving brand new and load from them, killing myself for auto load. Every load everything works fine but within one minute the described problems begin to occur. I also have doubles of Malcolm in Megaton, and K-9 the robot dog. And my sex scenes I think don't render properly. My avatar is not visible in first person view, and is weirdly skinny in boxers in third person view. The women though are loaded correct and well. All they're movements and privates are animated, my avatar has only boxers. I seen images of full animations, want mine to work too :smile: I am running Fallout 3 with all DLC's, official update 1.7, unofficial latest patch, FOSE, FO3EDIT, FO3MASTERUPDATE, and FOMOD (with its invalidation) with merged patch at the bottom of my load order. M48A5 Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 You cannot run FOOK and FWE together. Also, you need to disable the integrated Intel graphics chip. Streetlights-Wasteland is part of Streetlights, disable it and uninstall it. Streetlights.esm needs to load after ThePitt and before BrokenSteel. Your load order is a mess. You need to do more research to correctly install and order mods. You also need to read the mod description pages and the ReadMe that comes with the mods. Billy1969 Posted May 24, 2014 Share Posted May 24, 2014 (edited) Honestly I'm surprised Fallout 3 even starts with that load order, besides the remarks posters did before me you have for example 3 different weather mods in your load order, that is absolutely unecessary as the last loaded mod wins... and it's like that for every mod that change the same things in the whole game. Getting pink and missing textures is a sign your video card is running out of VRAM and your game is about to crash, like save now or in ten seconds it will be too late. FEM while being a good mod is a memory hog, if you absolutely want it then start merging all the body enablers into one esp file, it will save you esp slots and memory, but frankly all that are just bandages on an amputated leg, you're better off to start from scratch and add mods one at a time, and in the correct load order, then make a merged patch at the end of it Edited May 24, 2014 by Billy1969 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I forgot to add before that I am using BOSS also. But I am not sure if it is doing anything. It does open a tab in Chrome with a list of plugins active and not. But I don't notice my load order changing in any way. It also gives me an outdated plugin error on the FOOK2 - Main hotfix.esp and DIK.esp. I also meant to say I am using FOMM not FOMOD sorry. Thats how much I been at it haha. Although FOMM tells me it needs to update for BOSS auto sort but update option crashes it. Its version 0.13.21. Also weirdly it crashes on 75% of the time I add a mod, but when I start FOMM again the mod is there and activates and works correctly. A very annoying thing. I did read up on some guides and rules of thumb and a bunch of forums and googled my issues. I did try to consolidate and organize on my third time around. Really don't want to go for a 4th. I would guess it works given my PC build is pretty stable. Had no issues thus far and it handles easy everything I throw at it. It is after all a gaming build. I've tried searching for guides on load orders like what comes first what comes last, but can't find anything concise and straight forward. I basically used common sense for my load order. Did my quests first, then locations, then buildings, then companions, then weapon mods, then graphics and textures, then weather, then radio, then body and sex mods, and UI's and tools last. Of course conforming to guides for each mod installed. Would appreciate any input on this matter. I moved streetlights between The Pitt and Broken Steel like M48A5 said and uninstalled the wasteland one. Also my integrated graphics are disabled. It says RADEON HD6900 graphics in device manager under display adapters. Which is my graphics card. I did follow that guide in the link you sent, minus the GFWL disabler. Doesn't seem to give me any issue. But I could be wrong. Curiously enough, after starting to play and by the time I got to Megaton and tried the sex features, like I described before, was not animating like I saw in posted images, so I stopped the game, and added a couple sex mods like body textures, seducing women and FEM. Remade the merged patch, and did master update. That's when those issues started coming up. And my sex animations were not fixed by those additions I may add. So I quit again, backtracked those new additions, again remade merged patch and did master update and loaded game. My latest save crashed the game. I loaded an earlier save when I got out of vault 101 and everything is fine. Been playing without issues and passed Megaton now. I've tried walking around the wasteland testing the games stability and everything seems to be working okay. I do get an occasional crash but its pretty rare, rare enough to not be bothersome. Still have doubles for the robot dog and the Phallanx guy that fixes companions. All speech options work for both the dog and Phallanx. I for now am going to continue to play and see how it goes. If its unstable, glitchy, and generally unpleasant, I guess I will start over a fourth time installing the game, and drastically shorten my mod list (there's so many I like though). Simultaneously I am going to read up on how to merge mods together. I would also love any input on how to get the R rated animations working properly just like on the images out there from others. M48A5 Posted May 24, 2014 Share Posted May 24, 2014 You will continue to have problems and they will get worse if you insist on running FOOK and FWE. They are incompatible and as you continue in the game, the conflicts will continue to build to the point that the game will not work. The FWE is not set up properly. It should be arranged in the same order as the vanilla game with the optional plugins after the DLCs. The same for all your mods that add to the DLCs. I haven't used BOSS in over a year, but when I did, it never opened a tab in by internet browser. Also, the auto sort and check for updated FOMods in FOMM does not work and will cause FOMM to crash. blove Posted May 25, 2014 Share Posted May 25, 2014 FOOK2 or FWE, but not both. Streetlights, EVE, Phalanx, Fellout, and FPS Grenade Hotkey are all integrated in FOOK2 1.2 Open Beta.
