How do you kill invulnerable npc's?

Well im having trouble killing an npc that is invulnerable, Its different from essential npc's for those who are confused. I would just pull up creation kit and untoggle invulnerablility on the npc making him/her killable again but this is an npc in a dlc so creation kit wont let me access that. Is there a console command or mod that can kill invulnerable npc's? As an extra detail: Invulnerable npc's are the ones where your attacks just pass through them and dont affect them at all. while with essential npc's, your attacks can still hit them but you cant kill them though.

Well, what I've done in the past is to use disable, but that isn't what you're probably looking for or what I really wanted to do, (it has negative consequences of monsters failing to respawn once deleted out of the game... I almost removed trolls completely from skyrim for instance, because it got to the point where they were almost all showing up as impossible to kill... same for ice wraiths or whatever they're called, and a significant number of wolves as well) just something I found myself having to do when suddenly there were invulnerable creatures all over the place making the game untenable (afaik care of some poorly written mod or a malicious mod author).

So I just did a quick google search (wasn't aware of the "invulnerable" flag, thanks for illuminating me). see the last post in the thread. I don't know if it still works (or ever did) but if I see any crop up this time around, I'll be trying it.

in short, the post claims that invulnerability can be toggled by (in console) targeting the NPC and issuing (I think) "invulnerability", much as one might use kill or disable.

good luck!
