Well, don´t belive every thing you see on National Geografic,

but i saw this about the vulcano Teide on Tenerife (i remember it erupted in1972).

It has this special kind of magna chamber like the one in Yellow Stone Park.

If pressure rises enough, and the top shell is too hard, it can actually explode.

Being on an small island, it can create a sunami that will make the Indonesian sunami 2007

look like calm waves on the beach.

It should be able to wash away all of Europe within 8 minutes, and US in about 25 minutes.

So i guess Asia, Africa and Australia can take over then.

But as i said in the beginning, i don´t believe all from N.G. but you never know.

Worldwide communications will be severed when the earth aligns with the center of the universe. The once comedic notion of doomsday becomes a reality. The sky reddens. Gravity intensifies threefold. Mass hysteria brought on by peoples relentless desire to see the earth cleanse, what they believe is the plague known as the human race from its surface. This hysteria is either manifested because they feel bad for being human or just the need to believe zealously that there is a higher power or meaning to something other than it just being what it is...

 

...essentially on that date believing that their will be no tomorrow and not wanting to endure the pain of loss the believers will commit suicide, which ties into the above.

 

So in answer to the question If it does happen, how exactly will it happen.... brought on by mass hysteria over nothing which will will lead to mass suicide but then those poor people will never know the only thing they accomplished was cleansing the gene pool of...(insert word here) because then on 12/22/2012 life, the planet and the universe continued on without a hiccup! :thumbsup:

A friend told me the earth gets destroyed in 2036 cuz a huge asteroid with the size bigger than austria strikes the earth...somehow i dont believe that...
