Uploading New Content Not Working?

So I've made a mod for Oblivion and have updated it several times in the past week. However people have started pointing out that v1.4 it the last one available when it should have been v1.8.

I normally the version field and comments so I think I'm doing everything right but the file is still the old one. I've taken to updating the both file name and the version field to get the file to actually update but this doesn't seem right.

Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?

Hi there,

If you can provide me a test example that would be handy.

I think it's more than likely going to be a caching issue -- when you reupload a mod it retains the same filename; if people have already downloaded the mod from the site then their browser caches are thinking it's the same file and won't bother redownloading. Instead the browser will just recover the file from its cache.

Hope that explains it well enough.

The mod in question is:

http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=1883

Normally what I do is:

1. Bump the version field.

2. Edit the description.

3. Add my file. My uploaded files are versioned (LargerInv_x.x.exe) where x.x matches the version.

I've tried changing the tessource file name as well (ie Larger Inventory to Larger Inventory v1.8) and that seems to randomly work.

How easy would it be for you to automatically add the version the file name that people download to get around the caching problem. So it would be xxx-Larger Inventory-1.8-TESSource.exe because the version was 1.8
