Idea: A Simple Kill Npc Mod And Fetch Item Mod

The wiki pages about the CS aren't really useful to me. They explain every function, but they don't give any examples, so i still don't know what to do. Everything i tried either didn't work or made the CS crash (The MW version never did that!) so that wasn't nice.

Since i don't want to make quests that exist of only scrolls with instructions *cough* house of clues *cough*, wouldn't it be nice if someone made a basic tutorial mod, with two quests: To get an item and to kill an npc? Including dialogue and journal stuff. Then someone can edit that to make his own mod. he can just edit stuff here and there, without having to figure out everything themselves... They'll probably learn it better this way than having seperate functions on the wiki pages here and there, which aren't giving any examples.

mod mod mod

Good idea Povuholo :D I had a look at the wiki CS guide and wasn't very impressed, although I suppose it's better than nothing. Any tutorial stuff we can have would be great.

I think I'd probably prefer an Oblivion version of Scripting for Dummies, and some more information on creating NPCs, assigning their packages etc.

The Wiki is a bit disappointing in that respect - but hopefully that will change once members start submitting content.

Although i've never looked into the scripting for dummies thing, i heared it was very good. Now i'm into the quest/dialogue system, i think i'm going to need the oblivion version. That is, as soon as someone makes it....

Is the author of morrowind's scripting for dummies still active? Playing oblivion and going through forums and such?

edit: I tried posting this on the official forums, but it soon ended up someone on the 8th page.... So many mods... :P
