DGPainKiller
Hi. Im having a big problem with some mods I have installed. First of all, some mods have an annoying faculty to duplicate itselfs. For example, if I equip my companions with armor/weapons and then play for while and then exit the game, and the next time I start the game again, same gear is now back in my backpack. This also applies to my own toon. This is just one of them Shades Leather Armor This on the other hand has made me rich, but in runis the game for me. Second, First time when I started to use mods, all gear etc etc showed up on my first toon. The 2nd time (and 2nd toon) the stuff just wasn't there.I re-installled them, no results. A friend of mine said if you re-installed DAO it will work, but c'mon is that really how it is supposed to work? Otherwise, to all modders, keep up your amazing work. TGBlank
The link is broken. Found the mod through search function, in the comments you will find another person with the same "issue", basically, when you load a game, the mod checks if you have the items in your inventory, if not, the mod gives them to you.Meaning that if the items are not in your current inventory, the mod will spawn more. It doesn't take into account inactive party members or containers or merchants, a slight design error. As for your second character, try save & reload. Many mods activate on savegame load, not on game start.

icthulu
No, not much you can do unless you want to edit the gear yourself as the moder likely didn't pick the right plot flag to toggle in order to only grant the item once.
killbabykill
this happens to me with a number of different mods. i do the load from save, load from load, load from exit, load from whatever and i get nothing. it's generally item mods that disappear. i just got the robe of the wilds (? can't remember the exact name, basically morrigan's robes for your char) to pop up on a new char today and i installed that one a LONG time ago. then i decided i didn't like her hair and had to redo her. i even gave her a different name because i had this niggling feeling that i would have no robe. sure enough, when i started? no robe. i feel lucky if they show up and i'm happy to use them. when they don't i just sort of chalk it up to the magic of computers and keep my fingers crossed for the next char i make out of boredom at 1:34 in the AM to be the lucky one. DarkeWolf
http://dragonagemodding.wordpress.com/2009...efore-spawning/ the first set of code is probably what the modder used to spawn the items you're talking about. the second set of code is what should have been used. you can use that as a guide, if you want to go in and edit the .erf file for the mod, then reinstall it. as for your mods not showing up on your second character, this is a common occurance of games that dont go online to connect with the servers like they are supposed to. in order for them to work, you have to go to the website and register your game. I have my game registered, have tried reloading and restarting etc. But about 1/3 of my mods are not showing up on a new character, the rest are. Any ideas? ThanksM

Afraid that's all that I know of :( I was kind of thinking that going to camp might do the trick, I will let you know. In the mean time I loaded another ring, its overpowered though. Running my first mage...on Nightmare.
DarkeWolf
Niiiiiice! I havent tried nightmare mode. One way of getting around the mods not showing up is to rescript the way that they are presented in the game. In other words if for example, say that the Black Templar Armor doesnt show up. It's possible to open up the erf files for the mod in the toolset and rescript it to allow the armor to show up on bodahn on the party camp. these almost always work for some reason.there's links in this thread I just found.... http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=185414 Yeah, thats a lot of work tho. I'm gonna give it a try sometime when I have the time and see how it goes.
