Inquisitor's Guild

I was inspired by this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25628/?

Here's a quote from the desc:

The Inquisitor is a grim figure, looked upon with equal measures of awe and dread
for they have the authority of an investigator, a judge, and an executioner-

while the people of Skyrim agree that the Inquisitor's work is critically important
rare is the citizen who does not feel pangs of dread when they lay eyes upon one
for it is understood that most Inquisitor's would sooner burn an entire village to the ground
than see a single Daedra worshipper go free.

By blade, crossbow and torch, they are determined to cleanse Skyrim of evil!

So, here's what I'm throwing out:

(this requires dawnguard)

So, with the vigilants of stendar headquarters destroyed, I imagine the Dawnguard would try to keep a lid on more than just vampires. However, they are simply not equipped to deal with the Daedric menace, and a new order comes to skyrim to fill the power vacuum left by the Vigilants.

They are the Inquisitors.

With methods brutal even by Isran's standards, they brutally cut down any people suspected of daedra worshipping.

I'm talking of burning people alive to purge a village, or mowing down fleeing afflicted as they try to run.

I envision a new joinable guild where you play as aforce of justice that is nearly as bad as those they hunt.

A fully voiced questline is not required. I have in mind a more dynamic way of storytelling, with maaaybe a few voiced characters or followers, with you doing a ton of varied radiant quests, i.e. hunt down a dremora, kill a suspected cultist, cleanse a nest of afflicted.

What I really think would make this mod shine is for your targets to always be on the move.

Let's say, for example, you need to hunt a daedra worshipper. Well, since they keep it a secret, you can't kill them in front of civilians .

so, you need to catch him while he's traveling. you would need to execute him without people there to see you do it, adding a stealth element to the game.

Or, you could waltz right into town, surround him with your henchmen, pepper him with crossbow bolts and walk out, because you are an inquisitor and you do not give a damn what the people think.

Or, if you hunt a nest of Afflicted or dremora, you have a time limit of sorts, because they change their location, and fast traveling would just result in you coming to an empty camp.

Also, maybe in a few days, they get wind of your presence and start sending hit squads after you.

Essentially, I think it would be neat to take a break from all the moral black and white that occurs when it comes to organizations like the Dawnguard and Vigilants, and enter a world where you are more similar to your enemies than you may like to think.

So, yeah, thats my idea. constructive criticism and any other feedback is appreciated.

it should be noted Inquisitors work alone and in rare circumstances use others to get a job done... but they don't have henchmen

I see where you're going, but I'll leave that up to the discretion of the player.

That way the guys who work alone and those who use the firing squad approach can both play the game according to their playstyle.
