Where did the Ancient Blood Magic Mod go?

That's a very good question as for me Ancient BM v2.1 is/was the most anticipated mod out there. Maybe author got pissed because of people constantly bugging him to finish the update?

I'm a programmer myself so i know that writing 90% of sourcecode takes about 90% of scheldued time, but writing that last 10% takes another 90% time. But sadly, most people don't.

I, too, wonder where this mod went.

Blood Magic needs revamped, the vanilla Blood Magic is so blah.

Ancient Blood Magic was fairly ambitious, I would have been happy with a rework of the vanilla blood skills.

Related Notes:

DA:O Magic Overhaul is missing as well, and so is Better Magic...although that may be the same thing as the former mod.

And, Better Archery disappeared as well. Lastly, Dragon Age Redesigned has been pulled from Nexus.

Those last 2 were removed by their authors due to some drama, etc. :(

I tested the new ancient blood magic mod that was due to be released. I was remarkably well done, and almost ready to be released.

That's why I was trying to give as much feedback as I could, but also bottom lining what I considered the fewest amount of changes to make the mod ready to be released.

With so much time having gone by and not a peep from the author I am starting to think the author just decided to move on to another game, or was taking the feedback as something like a new list of a million things to do.

I don't remember exactly, but I think one thing that absolutely had to be changed is the con bonus taken off some spells because it was causing a glitch that was permanently removing X% of your mages HP.

That was the only major bug I found, the rest of the issues were balancing problems. Like adding a longer cooldown to the demon summons, and stuff like that.

I just wish the guy would e-mail the people that did take the time to test the mod with ANY info on what happened. Even something like "This was taking up way too much of my time, so I am quitting the mod and deleting it off the site" would be a 100 times better then just wondering WTF happened, and wondering if it's going to come back at some point.

When someone makes a mod and then gets a bunch of people giving suggestions on what they think the mod should be, it does get really annoying. It feels like people just want to take your idea and crap all over it. He probably should have just disabled comments or say he wasn't open to suggestions, but people would have still PM'd him because everyone thinks their ideas make other people's work better.

All I can say is that the mod he did release before the new updates being posted is still awesome its a must for every game I play on DA. I wont lose that and maybe if the author does come back he will have a new one for us. Im just saying to the author if ur out there looking through these forums thx alot for what u did release. Its greatly appreciated.

I have actually lost interest in finishing dragon age with this mod vanishing the way it did. I keep thinking he'll reply to his e-mail or something.

With this much time having past, I think it was pretty crappy to ask for testers then cut and run in this manner with no word.
