MonsterHunterMaster
I use fraps...but you have to turn the ingame screen resolution to 640x480!
Pronam
Lol, that's depending on your video card/processors. Fraps is the best, there are others like gamecam and some other buyable that come close to it...but never reach it. It's definitely worth the money. The free version only allows 30 seconds and a logo, but is still quite good. There is also 'taksi' but I never got it to work for my games. MonsterHunterMaster
No, I have to turn my resolution to 640x480 cuz if i turn it on 1280x720, frapso dont captures the whole screen...
Pronam
Lol, so do you have your own screen resolution set at 1280X720? A little note about fraps is that you should always keep both a the same. Even though I play oblivion/fallout3 at 1280X1024, I'll record at 1280X720 and set the game to 128X720 (Even though it looks ugly while playing at that moment, the result on youtube is good). Recording 640X480 with a higher resolution at the game-settings could be unnecessarily stressing on lower end pcs.
antonkr
I use fraps for making vids with arma 2. Its pretty cool and I didn't experience any problems with screen resolution.
JimboUK
No, I have to turn my resolution to 640x480 cuz if i turn it on 1280x720, frapso dont captures the whole screen... That's odd mine captures full screen at 1920x1200, I can't see any setting that would cause your issue. DarkeWolf
ok, downloaded, installed, and tried FRAPS out. So far, so good, other than it took me a while to realize that it was controlled via hotkey, lol. Much appreciated for the recommedation, folks, thanks much! Ok, now.... these AVI vids that is saves are HUGE. Anybody recommend a vid converter program so I can save them as a smaller file size format? DarkeWolf
Ok, cool. I'll try it out when I get back from school tonight. Sorry for taking so long to reply...for some reason I dont get email notifications from here, and well....I kinda forgot about this thread, between school, and my attempts at a couple of mods I've been tinkering with. Sorry about that!
