A morphing weapon

How about a weapon which you can find in a highly complex, daggerfall-esque dungeon that morphs.

 

What I mean: Sort of like the sentient weapon, but you can make different OBSE binds, and activating each would change the weapon to a type, whether it be a magical focus, a two handed hammer, a bow, a dagger, etc.

 

Alternatively it may morph based on what your stats are and how you level them.

 

Furthermore, you can "load" an occupied soul crystal, and based on the power of the soul and the type of crystal, the weapon would gain additional stats and/or effects.

 

Fire atronarch in a grand soulgem might be some fire resist and fire damage on hit,

Imp might launch a frost ball when you use the weapon,

stuff like that.

Well Frostmourne and Lich king armour is reasonably close to what your suggesting. But all it offers is switching between 1h and 2h swords.
