Site updates: stability, premium donations, endorsements, downloading, apostrophes and full-stops

I sit here writing this waiting once more for the Nexus page to come back up from maintenance. I like that the webmasters want to upgrade the site with new ides. That they never stop trying to make are Skyrim experience better. But for the number of problems and the consistency of them I think they need to look moor into better IT then new fetchers.

 

I have played Skyrim form the day it was first sold. I started to mod the game two years ago. I have had trouble from the site every week form the first day.

 

The servers are unreliable. The web site unstable. Even today there is once more trouble in the kingdom!

 

I don't care if I choose or the site, for my download. As long as it works! Not once or twice but 90% of the time. Some errors are unavoidable and I except this truth in life. But to have may problems every week and some time every day is poor site management.

 

I sit and wait again for the chance to delve deep into the imagination and creative force that is the minds of moders. And yet I wait and still no Nexus.

At the point of that post I had not come across that specifically, which I did shortly after that post, by reading that another member, SpyderArachnid, had posted and said about that.

With this being the thing that I had missed that was causing my issues, becasue I had failed to do that and missed your update saying to do so, due to My Own Fault.

"If you haven't specified your preferred location then the first time you go to download a file you'll be asked to pick one."

That is Huge, in fixing my issues and I think maybe many other members as well, based on the posts I have been reading.

I could be wrong about that though, because I do not see all that you see. lol

Thank you for your response, I can only imagine the work behind on keeping this site up and running.

I can think of no other place that I would want to get the many Wonderful Things for the games that I enjoy playing, than from here at the Nexus, I came to that realization a long time ago and have stayed here since.

So Thank You again for your response and for all the work being put in to keep the Nexus up and running, by you and your staff.

Love the new endorcements! Two of my mods that was highly ignored suddenly went from 3 to 25 in a day or two.

Haven't read the entire thread so forgive me if it has already been reported.
For the very first time since the endorsement "reminder" system came into being, I was presented with a notice today for five mods that Nexus says I haven't endorsed... The problem is that my Nexus Mod Manager shows that I have endorsed all five of them. So which is wrong? NMM 0.50.3 or the "system"?

I'd like to punch the "No servers available at this time :(" message in its frowny, smug, little face.

But seriously, did no one realize that this was going to happen when they implemented this system? As often as single servers go down, it was a completely predictable and avoidable problem, and they should have put a proper backup download system in place - like instead of a frowny face, maybe they could automatically try the next least loaded server until one works.
