Pushkatu
hahah i got my first kudo then tried to see what would happen but sadly nothing :( lol everyone who posts gives each other a kudo how about that? lol Giving kudos to a member is the way you can show your appreciation to other members of the site for files or images they have uploaded or for continued good support via comments and forum posts. You can only give one kudos point to a member, and you can not give negative kudos. You can, however, take away the kudos point you have given this member should you wish. This is what kudos are for and btw I gived your kudos. I just don't like 0.

apaosha
There should be a "subtract kudos" or thumbs down option for certain members. Would be useful for trolls; if you see a questionable post, you can just glance below their avatar to see their reputation. Currently, you can only give positive points to reputation, which is skewed.

Alastair91
That's what the star ratings are for. No... I think you misunderstood, not profile stars, no one cares about that. If we're allowed to give someone a negative "kudos" or whatever you want to call it that shows below the amount of kudos you have, that would be an improvement. The members that want no negative kudos will start to "think" before posting spams, trolling, insults, etc...
zprospero
Then Kudos would have the same affect as Star Ratings, eventually no one would care because it would bea fairly useless measure as the trolls have access to the same feature and the mods would have yet anotherburden of removing undeserved negative kudos. Trust the moderators to deal with the trolls, they do their job very well. Of course you can always suggest it. I trust in Dark0ne's judgment. apaosha
My point was that as it stands there is only positive kudos. A member could be a complete fool, yet still have some kudos despite that. Ideally, the format should be either no kudos/rep system whatsoever or negative/positive allowed. I speak from experience as being a mod and an admin on philosophy forums ...Cliques can form that go around thumbing up each others comments, leading to members with abnormally high rep to contribution ratio. A facility allowing negative reps to be given counterbalances this behaviour.
